Activating the Batteries or Installing New Batteries
Carefully turn BarMaster over so that the display side is face-down on a soft surface, such as a towel or magazine. Find the battery compartment on the left of the unit’s back. (See diagram on page
9.) Your BarMaster comes with two
AG10 batteries already loaded, but you must activate them. To do this, you do not have to remove the bat­tery compartment. Simply pull out

Remove the used batteries, dispos­ing of them properly, and replace them with two fresh AG10 batter­ies, making sure the polarity (+ and -) matches the diagram in the c o m p a rtment. Using Your BarMaster
Press and hold the ENTER button for two seconds to turn the Bar­Master on. A welcome screen s h owing the word “B A R M A S- T E R” and images of beve r a g e glasses will be displayed.
Press E N T E R a gain to open the main menu. You’ll use this menu to find the information you want. (You can return to the main menu from any screen by pressing the
PREVIOUS key up to three times,
depending on which screen you are viewing.)
The main menu on the right is dis­played five lines (down) at a time, including the title. Lines are dis-

Finding a Drink
You can find out everything you want to know about popular drinks from an Absolute Salty Dog to a Zorbatini. You can find them by name, categ o ry, liquor, and by occasion.
Finding Drinks by Name
Step 1. On the main menu page,
use the UP and DOWN keys to high­light “D R I N K S” on the Main
Menu and press ENTER. The following new menu is dis-
played. If longer than 10 charac­ters, an item will scroll from left to right when highlighted.

Step 2. From the drinks menu, highlight “N A M E” and press
ENTER. The letters of the alphabet
will be displayed. Step 3. Use any of the four navi-
gation keys to highlight the first letter of the name of the drink you wish to select and press ENTER.
If no button is pressed in approximately four minutes, your
BarMaster will turn itself off to save batteries. To turn
it on again, press and hold the ENTER key for two seconds.
(Drinks like “7 & 7” that begin with numbers, are found under “A.”)
For example, you can select “T” to find “Tom Collins.” The drinks beginning with “T” will be dis­played. From any letter grouping, you can scroll to the letter group­ing before and the one after. For example, from the “T’s” you can scroll up to the drinks beginning with “S” and down to the drinks beginning with “U.”
Step 4. Use the UP, DOWN, and
NEXT keys to highlight the desired
drink and press ENTER. A new, information menu will be
displayed:

Finding Drinks by Category
Step 1. On the main menu page,
use the UP and DOWN keys to high­light “D R I N K S” on the Main
Menu and press ENTER. Step 2. Select “C AT E G O RY
from the drinks menu and press
ENTER. A list of 14 categories will
be displayed. Although only five lines are displayed at one time, you can use the D OW N key to reveal the remaining categories.
Step 3. Use any of the four navi­gation keys to highlight the cate­gory you wish to select. For exam­ple, you can select “H O T DRINKS,” and all hot drinks will be listed.
Step 4. Use the UP, DOWN, and
NEXT keys to highlight the desired
drink and press ENTER. Once again, the inform a t i o n
menu will be displayed:

Finding Drinks by Liquor
Step 1. On the main menu page,
use the UP and DOWN keys to high­light “D R I N K S” on the Main
Menu and press ENTER. Step 2. From the drinks menu,
highlight “L I Q U O R” and press
ENTER. The letters of the alphabet
will be displayed. Step 3. Use any of the four navi-
gation keys to highlight the first letter of the name of the liquor you wish to select and press ENTER.
For example, you can select “D” to find “DARK RUM” or “R” to find all types of “RU M .” A l l drinks containing the type of liquor selected will be displayed.
From any letter grouping, you can scroll to the letter grouping before and the one after.
Step 4. Use the UP, DOWN, and
NEXT keys to highlight the desired
drink and press ENTER. Once again, the inform a t i o n
menu will be displayed:

Battery Information
• CAUTION: Batteries should be removed and replaced by adults only.
• Do not mix old and new batter­ies.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon zinc) or recharg e a bl e (nickel-cadium) batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batter­ies.
• To avoid explosion or leakage, do not dispose of batteries in a fire or attempt to recharge standard or
alkaline batteries.
• Be sure to insert batteries with the correct polarities and always follow the toy and battery manu­facturer’s instructions.
• R e m ove batteries and store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Always remove old and dead batteries from the product.
The supply terminals are not to
be short-circuited.
Use the DOWN key to read this warning carefully.
Step 3. When you finish reading the warning, press DOWN again, and a list of weights from 100 pounds to 240 pounds will be dis­played.
Use the UP and DOWN keys to high­light your weight and press ENTER.
Step 4. The display will give you

The warranty covers normal con­sumer use and does not cover dam­age that occurs in shipment or fail­ure that results from alterations, accident, misuse, abuse, neg l e c t , wear and tear, inadequate mainte­nance, commercial use, or unreason­able use of the unit. Removal of the top panel voids all warranties. This wa rranty does not cover cost of repairs made or attempted outside of the factory.
Any applicable implied warranties, including wa rranties of mer­chantability and fitness, are hereby limited to 90 DAYS from the date of purchase. Consequential or inciden­tal damages resulting from a breach of any applicable express or implied wa rranties are hereby ex c l u d e d . Some states do not allow limitations
