ALL MOVIES: This menu

RATING, MPAA RATING, OSCARS, ACTOR (ACTRESS), DIRECTOR and SYNOPSES.

Searching by:
TITLE: This menu displays all
movie titles contained in TV Guide®Movie Master, listed in alphabetical order. You can browse through the list using the
buttons if you wish to do so one title at a time. If you’re looking for a specific title, Movie Master features two more alternatives that can help you find what you’re searching for more quickly.
One way to do so is to press
the ABC 1 button. Your LCD will then show the first entry that begins with the next corresponding letter in the alphabet. Then you can use the to navigate thru this menu.
If you wish to scroll to the next entry that follows in order, according to the second letter in the title, press the ABC 2 button instead. This feature comes in handy when you are navigating within a section containing a large number of titles that begin with the same letter.
TYPE: This menu lists a
number of popular movie genres in alphabetical order to help you in instances where you have a specific kind of movie in mind. The included genres are:
ACTION ADVENTURE ANIMATION BIOGRAPHY CHILDREN’S COMEDY CRIME DANCE DISASTER DOCUDRAMA DOCUMENTARY DRAMA EROTIC EXPERIEMNTAL FANTASY HISTORICAL HORROR MARTIAL ARTS MUSICAL MYSTERY OPERA POLITICAL PRISON RELIGIOUS ROMANCE SCI-FI SPORTS
SPY THRILLER WAR WESTERN CHILDREN’S FANTASY
STAR RATING: This menu
contains the different star ratings, beginning with five stars at the top of the list and decreasing by half star increments all the way down to one star. This helps you get an idea of the critical acclaim of the film according to TV Guide’s®ratings, and could help you make a choice that best matches the caliber of movie you’re looking for.
MPAA: This menu catego-
rizes films according to the official rating of the Motion Picture Association of America. This is especially helpful to parents when deciding on a film that is suited for children’s viewing. Please keep in mind that the NR (Not Rated) rating generally applies to films that were released prior to the MPAA’s implementation of the rating system. Below is a definition of
each rating included in TV

BEST SUPPORTING

ACTOR (ACTRESS): This
menu contains a list of all the actors and actresses contained in TV Guide’s®Movie Master’s database, displayed in alphabetical order by last name. Once you make a selection and choose to
VIEW ALL, the LCD will list that
actor/actress’ filmography.
DIRECTOR: Similarly, this
menu displays a list of all available directors. Correspondingly, once you have selected a name and selected to VIEW ALL, the LCD will display an alphabetical list of that director’s filmography.
Please note that you have the ability to continue to narrow down your search once you are in a particular submenu. For instance, let’s say that you would like to host a Horror Film Fest in your own living room. You can start by conducting a search by
TYPE of film. Instead of continu-
ing to VIEW ALL to see all the entries in that genre, you can opt for finding films made by your favorite director. To do so,
simply scroll to the DIRECTOR category within the TYPE submenu and press ENTER to confirm. Then scroll down to the director’s name and press ENTER.
If any of the films by said director fall within the Horror genre, the LCD will display all that apply in alphabetical order. Otherwise you will hear “SORRY” and the LCD will display “SORRY NO MOVIE FOUND.” Likewise you can choose to conduct any number of combinations of searches, according to how customized you’d like for your movie night to be.
MOVIES WITH SYNOPSES:
From the HOME Menu you can quickly access the list of films that contain synopses. Simply scroll down to that option using the button and press
ENTER. The LCD will show an
alphabetical list of films with synopses available. You can move through the list using the
or the ABC buttons to find
your selection and then press
ENTER to confirm.
