Manual Carpet Shampooer
The Cascade is intended for the domestic market. It is designed to be used on carpets & rugs.
Best results will be obtained by reading the following instructions carefully.

Before use
Vacuum the carpet to remove surface debris
before applying the foam shampoo.
It is advisable to test the carpet for colour
fastness prior to use. To do this, mix a little of
the foam shampoo and water to the specified
dilution, apply to a clean cloth and then clean
a small area of carpet, ideally one which is
normally hidden from view.
Shampoo
For best results the shampoo should be mixed:
10 part water to 1 part shampoo
i.e. 10 cups of water to 1 cup of shampoo,
or you can use the filling marks on the rear of
tank produces the same results (10 to 1 mix).

How to fill
Turn the filler cap at the top of the tank 1/4 turn to the right and
remove. (Fig.2)
Markings on tank
Add water to the water level marked on the tank then add
shampoo to the shampoo level (Fig.3) for cleaning large areas
Replace the filler cap and turn 1/4 turn to the left.
If spot cleaning, mix shampoo and water at a 10 oz water to 1 oz
shampoo.
Press the handle release
Press down on the top of the handle release button then extend
the handle by gently pulling upwards until handle locks in place.

Using the trigger
When the handle is locked in positions you will feel a spring
loaded action in the trigger. (Fig.5)
Cleaning
Squeezing the trigger will release the valve in the head of the unit
allowing the shampoo and water mixture to be applied to the
foam roller. Using short overlapping strokes the mixture will be
applied to the carpet or rug – DO NOT OVERWET the cleaning
area. (Fig.6). Releasing the trigger will stop the flow of
shampoo/water mixture. After use let the carpet or rug dry
completely, then vacuum or use your carpet sweeper to remove
the deposits lifted by the foam shampoo.
Note: the drying of the carpet takes generally 3-4 hours.

How to clean your Ewbank Cascade
After use pour out any unused solution and clean by rinsing out the tank with a small amount of
clean water. Pull up on the trigger a number of times to run the clean water through the system.
Clean the head by rinsing the roller and brushes under a tap. The shampooer must be thoroughly
clean and dry before storing.

Removing roller
If necessary you can remove the roller and brush head
assembly for cleaning. Do this by inserting a flat head screw
driver between the main moulding and brush the rocker arm and
gently levering out (Fig, 7)
Assembling the head
Assemble the roller and brush head as shown in fig 8.
