WARNING - Risk of re or electric shock. LED Retrot Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaire
electrical systems. If not qualied, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualied electrician.
WARNING - When installing LED retrot lamps within HID xtures, ballast must be bypassed
when present.
WARNING - To avoid electric shock or component damage, disconnect power before attempting
installation or servicing.
WARNING - Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical
components during kit installation.
WARNING - To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to sharp edges of
housing or other sharp surface.
This product is intended to be installed in outdoor, ballast-based HID luminaire that have been appropriately modied.
The following xtures are representative examples of the types of xtures appropriate for OmniMax.
Acorn & Globe types: King K400 Series, Lexalite Lindy Model 424, GE Patriarch, Holophane GV Washington PostLite

Installation Instructions
Be careful to grip the bulb only on the upper or lower plastic housing. Avoid gripping the
bulb on the soft diffuser in the center at all times.
Step 1 – Disconnect electrical power to xture and remove existing bulb.
Step 2 – Remove or wire past the installed ballast in the xture.
Step 3 – Connect the two power leads from the source directly to corresponding leads
on the lamp socket. NOTE: The bulb screw housing of the socket shall be connected to
neutral wire (white or gray) of the power leads.
Step 4 – If the socket requires a mogul base (E39) bulb, screw the enclosed mogul
adapter (E39) into the existing screw housing of the socket before installing the bulb.
Step 5 – Thread the retrot LED bulb into the screw housing of the socket, or the mogul
adapter (E39). Tighten only until snug in the socket. CAUTION: Applying excessive
torque can damage the retrot LED bulb or xture socket.
Step 6 – Apply the supplied adhesive label to the inside of the xture where it will be
visible for future re-lamping.
Step 7 – Turn on electrical power to the xture.
