Video Signal/VGA Converter
VGA-802
Description
The VGA-802 converter allows black & white or color NTSC (US Standard) Composite Video or S-Video signals to be viewed directly on any low cost VGA/SVGA monitor.
A main switch is used to select AV inputs or PC input. A secondary switch is used to select input port between Composite Video and S-Video. A stereo audio amplifier is built in for headphone or computer speaker.
VGA-802 is the STANDARD version and defaults to the computer input when power is removed and then reapplied. There are also versions, which default to S-Video and Composite Video upon reapplying power.

3)
Determine which input(s) you wish to use. Disregard inputs that you do not intend to use. The four inputs which are available: a) VGA In – used for hook-up to a computer. A cable is provided for this attachment using
a 15-pin connector from the “VGA IN” on the unit to your computer.
b) S-Video In – Used for S-Video connection, which are found on high end TV’s or DVD
players.
c) Composite Video In – used by cameras, camcorders, or other outputs, which use a RCA
jack. A standard RCA Male to Male jumper cable is typically needed to connect the video source to this input. You may also apply the output of the camera or device directly into the RCA jacks on the VGA-802. The composite video signal is denoted by the yellow color on the connector. Audio inputs are denoted by the red color for the left channel and the white color for the right channel. You will need male-to-male cables to connect to the audio if that is desired.
d) Sound Card input. It is another stereo audio input option other than R/L audio inputs
Using the VGA-802
Verify that the appropriate inputs are connected, and that the red LED is on in indicating the power supply is attached properly. Then switch the position to the input you desire to view on the monitor. Some adjustments of the monitor setting maybe needed to get the picture perfectly aligned in the viewable area.
You will note that the upper right hand corner of the monitor will show momentarily which input you have selected. The markings look like AV, SV and there is no marking for the computer input; it should be obvious if it is on the computer input.
