1 Overview
ERU Series reader with USB keyboard simulation interface can be used
to carry out card registration quickly and easily.A DIP Switch is available
at the back of the product and can be used to configure different output
formats.Driver-free,plug-and-play,and no external power supply is
required.The USB interface can be used to connect to a computer and is
especially suitable for laptop user.Reliable,easy to use,with an sophisticated
exterior,EverFocus USB Reader is an ideal choice for any Access Control
System.

ERU Series USB desktop reader and the PC connection is simple, as
shown below ：
Connection as follows ：
1. The reader is driver-free, users need not to install any drivers, plug
and play, and no external power supply is required.
2. Use the USB cable to connect card reader to the PC , when hear two
consecutive beeps , indicating the connection successfully.
Notes： If the reader continued to issue more than two beeps, check
the motherboard's power supply , unstable voltage will result in the
occurrence of this phenomenon.

user can use “Caps Lock” key on the keyboard to switch uppercase or lowercase

4 Working Mode
4.1 ERU181 Working Mode
Set all 1 to 4 DIP switch to "OFF" position, then connect the USB cable
to PC USB port. After identification ,ERU181 will work in the CPU card
Read/Write mode. ERU181 support to Read/Write Mifare card and CPU
card(FM1208).
For example, the following figure, the DIP switches 1 to 4 all set to
"OFF" position.

When 1 to 4 DIP switch is not all in the "OFF" position， then connect
the USB cable to PC USB port. After identification ,ERU181 will work
in the serial number output mode. According to the 3.1 Section Mode
definition, select the output format card. For example, the following
figure, DIP switch 1 and 3 isn’t in “OFF” position。
