3. Remove the package and ensure that the appliance is undamaged (keep packing box for later storage). In case of doubt do not use the appliance and contact Everdure Service. Do not let children play with any parts of the packaging.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Extreme caution is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or individuals with decreased mental and physical capacity and whenever the heater is left operating unattended.
5. Before you use the appliance, check if the voltage marked on the rating label corresponds to the mains in your home. The appliance must be connected to a grounded power supply.
6. Avoid using extension cords as the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. If the use of an extension cord cannot be avoided, always use one with a minimum rating of 13Amps. Do not use this appliance with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the appliance on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.
7. Do not pull the power cord to disconnect with the power source. Always grasp the plug to pull it out.
8. Do not run power cords under rugs or other combustible materials. Do not place power cords in areas where they can be a tripping hazard. Do not operate directly below a power outlet.
9. Do not insert any objects into the heater as it may cause an electric shock or fire or damage to the heater. Do not block or tamper with the heater in any manner while it is in operation. To prevent a possible fire, do not cover the appliance in any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
10. Do not leave the heater unattended. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
WARNING: The Function Switch should not be used as the sole means of disconnecting power. Always
11. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use the handle when moving the heater (where available) or hold on the sides if not available (make sure the unit is turned off). Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 1m from the heater to the sides, front, rear & top.
12. The heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden, corrosive, salty or wet atmospheres. This heater is intended for general indoor domestic use ONLY.
13. This heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. Never locate a heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
14. Do not use the heater outdoors.
15. This heater includes a tilt switch that turns the heater off if it falls over. Once righted, the heater will completely reset and can be used as normal.
16. Always move or hold the heater from the handle or top & bottom of the appliance, where less heat is generated.
17. NOTE that over time, the front grill section may darken due to the extreme heat being generated by the heater elements. This is a normal occurrence & is not a fault in the heater.
WARNING:
Read the safety precautions of this booklet carefully before attempting to assemble, install, operate or maintain the product described. Protect yourself and others by observing all safety information. Failure to comply with instructions could result in personal injury and/or property damage. If you are unsure about anything regarding your heater or these instructions, please contact Everdure on 1300 766 066 in Australia or (09) 415 6000 in New Zealand before operating your appliance
.

GETTING STARTED
1. Carefully remove the heater from the plastic bag and the carton, and unwind the cord to its full length.
2. Place the heater onto a stable, flat and dry surface. Do not place the heater directly on carpet as the heat generated may damage some carpets.
3. Set the Function Switch to the off position (top or bottom). Plug the cord set into a 220-240V~A.C. 50Hz earthed electrical outlet. Turn the power on at the electrical outlet.
PLEASE NOTE: The heater will only operate if the thermostat control is set to a higher temperature than the
temperature of the room it is in.

CONTROLS
FUNCTION SELECT SWITCH:
To turn the heater off (this does NOT stop the flow of electricity into the appliance), turn the Function Select Switch to the top or the bottom (OFF). The Fan Only function (one step clockwise from either off position) will allow the fan to run without heating the air going through the heater. Use this function with the thermostat set high. The next step clockwise from the Fan Only function is the Low Heat function (LOW-750W). This will allow the heater to run at a reduced power. This would normally be used when the ambient temperature is close to the required temperature, or when the room is very small. The last function (one more position clockwise) is the High heat function (HIGH-1500W). This will allow the heater to run at full power. This would normally be used when the ambient temperature is far below the required temperature or when the room is larger. Each function is doubled up. On the right hand side of the switch, the functions also activate the oscillation function. To have the heater oscillating with any function, use the switch positions on the right. To run the heater without it oscillating, use the switch positions on the left of the switch.
THERMOSTAT CONTROL:
The Thermostat Control knob is used to adjust the temperature at which the heater runs. Adjust the knob clockwise to increase the temperature, and anti-clockwise to decrease the temperature. While the heating elements are running (or the fan is running), the indicator will be lit. If the heater reaches the set temperature and they turn off, the indicator will turn off as well.
HEATING
For greater economy, use the High Heat setting initially and then turn down to the Low Heat setting when the required temperature is reached. Please note that the fan speed remains the same when changing heat setting; only the heating elements are adjusted. Note: The thermostat control should be at a higher temperature than the room temperature, otherwise the elements and fan will not work. To turn the heater off, turn the power control knob to “off”.
THERMOSTAT CONTROL
The Thermostat Control knob is used to control the room temperature. It acts as an on/off switch for the heating elements and does not vary the heat from the elements. To set the temperature:
1. Turn the Thermostat Control knob fully clockwise until the maximum temperature setting is reached and run the heater.
2. Once the desired room temperature has been reached, very slowly turn the Thermostat Control knob anti-clockwise until there is an auditable click. The thermostat has turned off and the elements will stop producing heat. Turn it clockwise slightly until the click is heard again.
3. The heater elements and fan will now turn off and on automatically, maintaining the room temperature you have set. To increase or reduce this temperature, the thermostat control should be adjusted accordingly.

SAFETY FEATURES
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when the user resets the unit (see reset instructions below).
To reset your heater:
1. Unplug the heater and wait between 5-10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
2. Then, turn on the unit again and operate normally.
A tilt switch is built into this appliance. If tipped over the appliance will shut off. Right the appliance to restart.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING, DO NOT
IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER!
Clean the body of the heater with a soft damp cloth. Always make sure that the heater is completely dry before
connecting back to the mains supply.
CAUTION: Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, harsh cleaners, etc. as they will damage the heater. NEVER
use ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.
STORAGE: Store the heater with these instructions in the original packaging, in a cool, dry place.
WEEE WARNING
This product should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist and check with your local authority for recycling advice.
HINTS & TIPS
Where possible your electric heater should be connected to a power outlet that uses a separate 10 amp power circuit. This will avoid overloading your household fuse.
In the event that your household fuse is overloaded and trips, please note this is normally caused by the use of excessive power outlets at the same time your heater is operating (for example, a steam iron, kettle, toaster etc.). Please ensure to check the use of the power circuit and adjust when heater is in use (i.e. turn off the heater when boiling a kettle). Should you still experience difficulty contact Everdure Service for assistance.
