sikkert undre dig over, at der ikke skal mere til at
lave god kaffe. I praksis fungerer det sådan:
Når det kogende vand kommer i berøring med
glaskanden og kaffebønnerne, sænkes temperaturen øjeblikkelig til ca. 94°C, hvilket er den optimale temperatur til kaffebrygning. Faktisk kan det
være en fordel at opvarme glaskanden med lidt
kogende vand, før bønnerne hældes i.
Når kaffen omrøres, er det for at skabe kontakt
mellem kaffebønner og vand og for at sikre, at
al luft fra bønnerne kan stige op. 80% af bønnernes kraft udtrækkes i de første minutter af
brygningen, mens vandet er varmest. Herefter
er udtrækningen af smagsstoffer ubetydelig, og
det er årsagen til, at kaffen ikke bliver væsentligt
stærkere, mens den står i kanden.
Filtertragten sikrer, at grove partikler holdes
tilbage, og udformningen af tragtens kant er
baseret på Eva Solo’s patenterede drypfrie princip
som også er anvendt i Eva Solo vandkarafler og
termokander.
Neoprendragten holder kaffen drikkevarm i op til
30 minutter. Vippelåget bidrager også væsentligt
til at holde på varmen og det åbner automatisk,
når der skænkes.
When you are used to other methods of coffeemaking, you will doubtless ask yourself how such a
simple method can produce such good results. In
practice, it works as follows:
When the boiling water comes into contact with the
glass flask and the coffee beans, the temperature
immediately drops to about 94°C, the ideal temperature for coffee brewing. In fact, it is best to warm the
flask with a little boiling water before spooning in
the ground coffee.
Stirring the coffee creates contact between the coffee grains and the water and also ensures that any air
trapped on the grains can rise to the surface. Eighty
per cent of the flavour is drawn out in the first few minutes of brewing while the water is at its hottest. After
this, there is nothing to be gained from leaving the coffee to brew for longer – the coffee does not become
appreciably stronger while it is standing in the flask.
The filter funnel ensures that coarse particles are
retained while the shape of the funnel’s lip is based
on Eva Solo’s patented drip-free principle which
can also be found in the Eva Solo water carafes and
vacuum jugs and flasks.
The neoprene cover keeps the coffee at serving temperature for up to 30 minutes. In addition, the flip-top
lid also retains the heat and it opens automatically
when the coffee is poured.
