Important Safety Instructions
Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place, along with the warranty card, purchase receipt and carton for future reference. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Ensure the voltage on the type plate is the same as that in your home.
• The iron should always be turned to off before plugging or unplugging from the wall socket.
• Never pull the cord to disconnect from the wall socket.
• Never use the appliance if damaged in anyway.
• When leaving, even when only for a short while, always unplug
the iron.
• Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.
• Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
• Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam.
• Use with caution when you turn the steam iron upside down, as there may be hot water in the reservoir.
• Never immerse the iron in water.
• Always place the iron with its back on a firm flat surface when
interrupting ironing and after use.
• Keep the sole plate smooth, avoid hard contact with a metal object.
• The cord should not be allowed to touch the sole plate when it is hot.

• When using the iron for the first time test on an old piece of fabric to ensure the sole plate and water tank are completely clean.
• Your iron is designed to rest on the heel. Do not leave the iron unattended when switched on. Do not place the iron on an unprotected surface even if it is on its heel rest.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
