This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications.
Intended Use
The ParCan, is used for lighting and for generating lighting effects on dance floors, in
party basements, on stages, etc. It is approved only for connection to 230 V~/50 Hz
wall outlets with a protective conductor. Do not use any other source of energy.
It can only be used in closed rooms, and therefore not outdoors. Contact with moisture
must be avoided at all times.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product can be modified or rebuilt.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.
Symbols
This symbol on the device indicates that the user should read
these operating instructions prior to using the product.
The flash icon in a triangle is used to alert you to potential
personal injury hazards such as electric shock.
An exclamation mark indicates important notes in these
operating instructions that should always be observed.
The F symbol indicates that the device is suitable for direct
attachment on normally flammable surfaces.
This symbol indicates the minimum distance to the
illuminated surface.
Safety instructions
•
The warranty will lapse for damage due to non-compliance with these
operating instructions. We will not assume liability for any resulting
damage.
•
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety
instructions. The warranty is voided in these cases.
•
Prior to commissioning, check the device for damage. If the device is
damaged, it may not be put into operation. For safety and licensing (CE)
reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are
not permitted.
•
The ParCan is designed according to protection class I. For this reason, the
device's mains plug must be connected with a mains socket with earthing
contact.
•
Do not look straight into the light source during operation. The light rays
could lead to brief sight problems. They can furthermore possibly cause
epileptic fits. Of course, this applies particularly for epileptics.
•
Check the device and the power cable from time to time for damage.
•
Never replace a damaged connecting cable yourself. If the connecting
cable is damaged, take the device to a specialist workshop to be repaired.
•
Avoid heavy mechanical stress on the ParCant and do not expose it to high
temperatures, strong vibration or dripping or spray water.
•
Never pour out any liquids above the device. You run the risk of causing a
fire or a fatal electric shock. If any liquid should nevertheless penetrate the
device, immediately disconnect it from the power supply network and
contact a specialist.
•
Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not let the lamp be used by
children or persons who do not possess sufficient knowledge of such
devices.
•
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may
become dangerous playing material for children.
•
On industrial sites the accident prevention regulations of the association of
the industrial workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be
followed.
•
If the device is used in commercial institutions or in public, the user must
ensure that installation and connection to the power supply network meet
the safety regulations and that this is checked by an expert.
•
If you are not sure about the correct connection or if questions arise which
are not covered by the operating instructions, please do not hesitate to
contact our technical support or another specialist.
Mounting
•
The assembly and installation of the device may only be carried out
by an accordingly qualified specialist.
•
When carrying out installation or service works, make sure that the area
below the installation site is blocked.
•
Never install the product in the vicinity of combustible or easily inflammable
materials, (e.g. curtains, decorative material etc.)! Keep a free space of at
least 50 cm around the device for unhindered air circulation.
The housing must not come into contact with any other surfaces or objects
at all. Please make sure the appliance is sufficiently ventilated (never cover
i it!).
•
The surface or illuminated objects must be at least 1.5 m away from the
light's point of exit.
•
The maximum permissible environmental temperature of 40°C may not be
exceeded.
•
The installation surface or mounting fixture needs to be designed in a way,
that it can take 10 times its load capacity for at least 1 hour without
damaging deformation.
•
It is essential that the device is furthermore secured by a second safety
suspension (eg safety catch) which is independent from the actual
installation fixture. If the main supports fail, no part of the installation should
be able to fall down.
•
Make sure that the device cannot swing freely when installing it.
The ParCant must not be installed within reach of persons or above the
place where people are present.
Fasten the lamp housing by means of the mounting clamp on the wall, ceiling or a
suitable crossbeam. Only use suitable installation material.
Align the lamp housing as desired and tighten the screw of the clamp carefully.
If required, insert suitable coloured film in the coloured film frame and fasten this in
the holder at the light's point of exit.
Connecting the power supply
•
Connection to the power supply must always be carried out by a specialist
familiar with the hazards involved and with the regulations for mains
connection.
•
The mains plug has to be connected to a mains socket with earthing
contact.
•
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
•
Do not lay out the connection cables in such a manner that anyone can trip
over or get caught in them.
•
Furthermore, ensure that the power cables cannot be pinched or damaged
by sharp edges.
•
Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the specifications on the
lamp housing.
•
Insert the mains plug into an earthed mains socket.The device starts to
operate as soon as it is connected to the power supply.
Connection to DMX-512 Controller
• Only ise a stereo shielded cable and 3-pin XLR-plugs and connectors in
order to connect the controller with the fixture or on fixture with onother.

• If you are using controllers with this occupation, you can connect the DMXoutput of the controller directly with the DMX-input if the first fixture in the
DMX-chain. If you wish to connect DMX-controllers with other XLR-outputs,
you need adapter-cables.
• Connect the DMX-output if the first fixture in the DMX-chain with the DMXinput if the next fixture. Always connect one output with the input of the next
fixture untill all fictures are connected.
Microphone - Mode
• In order so select Microphone-mode, first set dipswitch 10 to ON an
dipswitch 9 to OFF. Sensitivity can be adjusted with the rotary-control

DMX-Controlled - Mode
• You can control the projectors individually via your DMX-controller. Every
DMX-channel has a different occupation with different features.
- Set the dipswitch 10 to OFF. At least 1 dipswitch (from 1 - 9) must set ON,
Dipswitches 1 - 9 set the DMX addresses.
• After having adddressed all ParCan Spots, you may now start operating these
via your lighting controller.

Care and maintenance
•
Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning it.
•
The outside of the ParCan Set should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of
the housing could be damaged.The interior of the housing should be
vacuum cleaned from time to time.
Disposal
When the product is no longer usable, dispose of it in accordance with the
applicable statutory regulations.

Dieses Produkt erfüllt die gesetzlichen nationalen und europäischen
Anforderungen.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die ParCan´s dienen zur Beleuchtung und zur Erzeugung von Lichteffekten auf
Tanzflächen, in Partykellern auf Bühnen etc.Es ist nur für den Anschluss an
230V~/50Hz Wandsteckdosen mit Schutzleiterkontakt zugelassen. Eine andere
Energieversorgung darf nicht verwendet werden.
Eine Verwendung ist nur in geschlossenen Räumen, also nicht im Freien erlaubt. Der
Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit ist unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Eine andere Verwendung als zuvor beschrieben führt zur Beschädigung dieses
Produktes, darüber hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z.B. Kurzschluss, Brand,
elektrischer Schlag etc. verbunden.
Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert bzw. umgebaut werden.
Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu befolgen.
Symbolerklärung
Dieses Zeichen auf dem Gerät weist den Benutzer darauf hin, dass er
vor der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes diese Bedienungsanleitung
lesen und beim Betrieb beachten muss.
Das Symbol mit dem Blitz im Dreieck wird verwendet, wenn Gefahr für
Ihre Gesundheit besteht, z.B. durch elektrischen Schlag.
Wichtige Hinweise, die unbedingt zu beachten sind, werden in dieser
Bedienungsanleitung durch das Ausrufezeichen gekennzeichnet.
Das F-Zeichen sagt aus, dass das Gerät zur Montage auf normal
entflammbaren Oberflächen geeignet ist.
Dieses Symbol gibt den Mindestabstand zu angestrahlten Flächen an.

Bei Schäde n, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Bedienungsanleitung
verursacht werden erlischt der Garantieanspruch. Für Folgeschäden

Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung

Garantieanspruch.
•
Prüfen Sie das Gerät vor der Inbetriebnahme auf Beschädigungen. Sollte
ein Schaden vorliegen, darf es nicht in Betrieb genommen werden.
Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige
Umbauen und/oder Verändern des Produktes nicht gestattet.
•
Die ParCan`s sind in Schutzklasse I aufgebaut. Aus diesem Grund muss
der Netzstecker des Gerätes unbedingt mit einer Netzsteckdose in
Schutzkontaktausführung verbunden werden.
•
Blicken Sie während des Betriebs niemals direkt in die Lichtquelle. Die
hellen Lichtstrahlen können kurzzeitig zu Sehstörungen führen. Außerdem
können bei empfindlichen Menschen unter Umständen epileptische Anfälle
ausgelöst werden. Dies gilt natürlich insbesondere für Epileptiker.
•
Überprüfen Sie das Gerät und die Netzleitung von Zeit zu Zeit auf
Beschädigungen.
•
Ersetzen Sie nie eine schadhafte Anschlussleitung des Gerätes selbst.
Sollte die Anschlussleitung beschädigt sein, bringen Sie das Gerät zur
Reparatur in eine Fachwerkstatt.
•
Vermeiden Sie eine starke mechanische Beanspruchung der ParCan und
setzen Sie es keinen hohen Temperaturen, starken Vibrationen, Tropf- oder
Spritzwasser aus.
•
Gießen Sie nie Flüssigkeiten über dem Gerät aus. Es besteht höchste
Gefahr eines Brandes oder lebensgefährlichen elektrischen Schlages.
Sollte dennoch Flüssigkeit ins Geräteinnere gelangt sein, trennen Sie es
sofort vom Stromversorgungsnetz und wenden Sie sich an eine Fachkraft.
•
Das Gerät gehört nicht in Kinderhände. Halten Sie Kinder und Laien vom
Gerät fern.
•
Lassen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial nicht achtlos liegen. Es könnte für
Kinder zu einem gefährlichen Spielzeug werden.
•
In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des
Verbandes der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenscha ften für elektrische
•
Anlagen und Betriebsmittel zu beachten.
Wird das Gerät in gewerblichen Einrichtungen oder in der Öffentlichkeit
verwendet, muss der Unternehmer dafür Sorge tragen, dass die Montage
u nd de r A ns c hl us s an d as S tr om ve r so rg un gs ne t z d e n
sicherheitstechnischen Vorschriften entspric ht und diese von einem
Sachverständigen überprüft wurde.
•
Sollten Sie sich über den korrekten Anschluss nicht im Klaren sein oder
sollten sich Fragen ergeben, die nicht im Laufe der Bedienungsanleitung
abgeklärt werden, so setzen Sie sich bitte mit unserer technischen
Auskunft oder einem anderen Fachmann in Verbindung.
Montage
•
Die Montage und die Installation des Gerätes darf nur durch eine
entsprechend qualifizierte Fachkraft erfolgen.
•
Achten Sie bei Montage- und Servicearbeiten darauf, dass der Bereich
unterhalb des Montageortes abgesperrt ist.
•
Montieren Sie das Produkt niemals in der Nähe von leicht entzündlichen
Materialien (z.B. Vorhänge, Dekostoffe etc.). Halten Sie einen Freiraum von
mindestens 50cm zur ungehinderten Luftzirkulation rund um das Gerät ein.
Das Gehäuse darf auf keinen Fall andere Flächen oder Gegenstände
berühren.Achten Sie auf eine ausreichende Belüftung des Gerätes
(keinesfalls abdecken!).
•
Die angestr ahlte Fl äche ode r an gestrahlte Gegenst ände müsse n
mindestens 1,5m vom Lichtaustritt entfernt sein.
•
Die max. Umgebungstemperatur von 40°C darf nicht überschritten werden.
Die Montagefläche bzw. vorrichtung muss dermaßen bemessen sein, dass
sie mindestens 1 Stunde lang die 10-fache Nutzlast ohne dauernde
schädliche Deformierung aushalten kann.
•
Das Gerät muss außerdem unbedingt durch eine zweite, von der
eigentlichen Montagevorrichtung unabhängige Sicherheitsaufhängung (z.B.
Sicherheitsfangseil), gesichert werden. Bei fehlerhafter Hauptaufhängung
darf kein Teil der Installation herabfallen können.
•
Die Montage darf niemals freischwingend erfolgen.Die ParCans dürfen
nicht im Handbereich oder über dem Aufenthaltsbereich von Personen
montiert werden.
Befestigen Sie das Strahlergehäuse mit dem Montagebügel an Wand, Decke
oder einer geeigneten Traverse. Verwenden Sie hierzu nur geeignetes
Montagematerial.
Richten Sie das Strahlergehäuse wunschgemäß aus und ziehen Sie die
Bügelklemmschraube vorsichtig fest.
Anschluss der Stromversorgung
•
Der Anschluss der Stromversorgung darf nur durch eine Fachkraft
ausgeführ werden, die mit den Gefahren hierbei und den Vorschriften für
den Netzanschluss vertraut ist.
•
Der Netzstecker muss unbedingt an eine Netzsteckdose mit Schutzkontakt
angeschlossen werden.
•
Lassen Sie die Netzleitung nicht mit anderen Leitungen in Kontakt
kommen.
•
Verlegen Sie die Anschlussleitung so, dass keine Personen darüber
stürzen oder sich darin verfangen können.
•
Die Netzleitung darf außerdem nicht gequetscht oder durch scharfe Kanten
beschädigt werden können.
•
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Netzspannung der Angabe auf dem
Strahlergehäuse entspricht.
•
Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Schutzkontaktsteckdose.
Sobald das Gerät mit der Stromversorgung verbunden ist, nimmt es den
Betrieb auf.
Inbetriebnahme und Bedienung
Anschluss an den DMX-512 Controller
•
Die Verbindung zwischen Controller und Gerät sowie zwischen den einzelnen
Geräten muss mit einem zweiploingen geschirmeten Kabel erfolgen. Die
Steckverpinfungen geht über 3-polige XLR-Stecker und -Kupplungen.

•
Wenn Sie Controller mit dieser XLR-Belegung verwenden, können Sie den
DMX-Ausgang des Controllers direkt mit dem DMX-Eingang des ersten
Gerätes der DMX-Kette verbinden. Sollen DMX-Controller mit anderen XLRAusgängen angeschlosssen werden, müssen Adamterkabel vewrwendet
werden.
•
Schließen Sie den DMX-Ausgang des ersten Gerätes der Kette an den DMXEingang des nächsten Gerätes an. Verbinden Sie immer einen Ausgang mit
dem Eingang des nächsten Gerätes bis alle Geräte anschlossen sind.
Microphone - Mode
•
Um den Microphone-Mode einzustellen, stellen Sie zuerst DIP-Schalter 10
auf ON und DIP Schalter 9 auf OFF. Die Empfindlichkeit kann mit Hilfe des
Drehreglers beeinflußt werden

•
Um den Fading-Mode einzustellen, stellen Sie zuerst DIP-Schalter 9 und 10
auf ON und DIP-Schalter 1 bis 8 auf OFF.

DMX-Gesteuerter Betrieb
• Über Ihren DMX-Controller können Sie die einzelnen Geräte individuel
ansteuern. Dabe i hat jeder DMX-Kanal eine an dere Blegung mit
verschiedenen Eigenschaften.
- Stellen Sie DIP-Schalter 10 auf OFF. Mindestens 1 DIP-Schalter (von 1-9)
muss auf ON stehen. DIP Schalter 1-9 stellen die DMX-Adressen ein
• Nachdem Sie die Startadresse definiert haben, können die den ParCan
Spot über Ihren Controller ansteuern.

Wartung und Pflege
•
Trennen Sie das Gerät immer von der Stromversorgung, bevor Sie es
reinigen.
•
Äußerlich sollte das PAR 56 Set nur mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch
gereinigt werden. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall aggressive Reinigungsmittel
oder chemische Lösungen, da sonst die Oberfläche des Gehäuses
beschädigt werden könnte. Das Gehäuseinnere sollte von Zeit zu Zeit mit
einem Staubsauger gereinigt werden.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden
gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
