Directly after purchase

1. Choose the right tent pegs
Important: Different camping grounds require different pegs (plastic for clay; metal

for rocky; wood for sand). Your Eureka! tent contains 1 type of top quality pegs for
general usage. To ensure secure setup of your tent, when you expect to camp on
different grounds during your trip(s), please buy the appropriate pegs at your dealer’s
in advance.

2. Do a trial-set up of your tent.

Please set up your tent prior to your first trip to ensure you are familiar with the
setup and the tent is in proper condition.

Tent set-up instructions

Important: Inspect the chosen site and clear all sharp and/or protruding objects that

can damage the tent floor. Be sure the site will offer proper drainage of rainwater
away from the tent. When choosing a site try to pitch the tent in a shaded area.

1. Unroll the tent and spread out the inner tent on the ground with the mesh side

facing up.

2. Assemble the shock-corded pole segments ensuring the inserts are fully

connected to avoid pole damage.

3. Sleeve system

- Slide (always push through sleeves as pulling can

separate the connections, resulting in breakage when
the pole is flexed) all the poles parallel to each other
across the inner tent through the pole sleeves.

- Bend one of the poles across the other pole and insert

one of the pole tips into the grommet located at a
corner beside the door.

- Repeat this with the other end of the pole, so the pole

gets an U-shape.

- Repeat those steps with the remaining pole(s). The

poles should form this shape when looking at the tent from above:

- The inner tent is now automatically standing up and can be staked

out.

4. Stretch the fly sheet over the tent. Attach (the Velcro fasteners) (hooks)

(clips), found on the inner side of the fly, to the frame. Connect all fly
buckle locations.

5. Stretch and stake down the vestibule(s) with pegs.

6. Stake out all the locations and adjust tension at all buckle locations.

Stake out the guy lines to stabilize the tent in windy conditions.

Tent care

We strongly advise you to read the Eureka! Tent Care Leaflet (included in
the peg bag) before first use!!

 Floor protection: We recommend the use of a thin groundsheet or floor

saver with any tent for added protection from abrasion. The floor saver
should be about 10cm. (4 inches) from the tent edge to avoid the
possibility of channelling water beneath the tent.

 Damaging substances: Fuels

 Exposure to sun: The sun’s UV rays can be harmful

advances in fabrics. Prolonged exposure could result in fading and
possibly fabric disintegration. Do not leave a tent up longer than
necessary.

 Cleaning: Clean tent fabric, poles and zippers with lukewarm, clean

water after every use. Never use detergents, washing machines or
dryers (also see warranty leaflet).

 Tent storage: It is important that you store the tent in a dry and cool

condition. If you put the tent away in the carry bag while it is wet, even
for a short time, it may become affected by mildew, which can damage
the coating.

 Seams: All major seams are factory taped. Over time seams could

experience delamination. Simply clean the seam and apply seam sealer
that can be purchased at most outdoor stores.

1. Kies de juiste tent haringen
Belangrijk: Verschillende grondsoorten vereisen verschillende soorten haringen

(plastic voor klei; metaal voor harde grond met veel stenen; hout voor zanderige
ondergrond). Uw Eureka! tent bevat 1 soort top kwaliteit haringen voor algemeen
gebruik. Wanneer u op diverse grondsoorten verwacht te kamperen tijdens uw
vakantie(s), schaft u dan vooraf de benodigde haringen aan bij uw dealer of outdoor
shop.

2. Opzetten vóór vertrek

Om alvast bekend te raken met uw nieuwe tent, raden wij u aan deze eerst een keer
op te zetten.

Opzet instructies

Belangrijk: Plaats de tent op een droge, vlakke plaats en zorg dat deze vrij is van

stenen, takjes en andere oneffenheden die de tent kunnen beschadigen. Zorg ervoor
dat het terrein over voldoende drainage beschikt om het regenwater weg te voeren
van de tent. U kunt de levensduur van uw tent verlengen door een plekje in de
schaduw te zoeken.

1. Rol de tent uit en spreidt de binnentent uit op de grond met de gaaszijde boven.

2. Zet de stokken in elkaar en zorg ervoor dat alle segmenten volledig aansluiten

om stokbreuk te voorkomen.

3. Sleuf (tunnel) systeem:

- Schuif (altijd schuiven nooit trekken, zodat de

segmenten goed aansluiten om stokbreuk te
voorkomen)de tentstokken parallel door de sleuven
(tunnels) van de binnentent.

- Buig één tentstok over de ander en steek het uiteinde

van één van de stokken in het ringetje op een van de
hoekpunten naast de deur.

- Herhaal dit met de andere kant van de stok, zodat deze

een u vorm krijgt (zie ook tekening).

- Herhaal deze stappen met de andere tentstok.

- De binnentent staat nu op. Zet de binnentent vast met haringen.

4. Spreidt de buitentent uit over de binnentent. Bevestig de

klittenbandsluiting die zich aan de binnenkant van de buitentent
bevinden, aan het frame. Bevestig alle buckles op de hoeken.

5. Trek de voortent (en) uit en zet deze vast met de haringen. Span de fly

door middel van de buckles verder af.

6. Zet alle andere afspanpunten vast met haringen. Span de scheerlijnen af

om de tent te stabiliseren tijdens winderige omstandigheden.

Tentonderhoud

Wij raden u aan om, voor het eerste gebruik, de uitgebreide garantie en
tentonderhoud instructies door te lezen.

 Vloerbescherming: Wij adviseren altijd een grondzeil

om vervuiling te voorkomen. Het grondzeil zou aan beide kanten
10cm korter moeten zijn dan het oppervlak van de tentvloer. Probeer
verder zoveel mogelijk zand uit de tent te houden. Het beschadigt de
waterdichte coating van het grondzeil door het schuren

 Schadelijke stoffen: Brandstoffen en DEET

insectenwerende middelen voorkomt, kunnen het materiaal van
tenten beschadigen of zelfs vernietigen.

 UV-straling: Zelfs moderne tentstoffen zijn niet geheel bestand tegen

de invloeden van UV-straling
langere tijd aan het zonlicht worden blootgesteld (direct of indirect
door de reflectie via water of sneeuw), het materiaal eerst zal
verbleken

 Reinigen: Reinig de tentstof, stokken en ritsen na ieder gebruik met

schoon handwarm water. Gebruik nooit schoonmaakmiddelen,
wasmachines of drogers (zie ook de tent onderhoud instructies).

 Naadonderhoud: De belangrijkste naden zijn reeds gesealed met

tape. Mochten deze toch onverhoopt losgaan, dicht deze naden dan
met seam sealer

 Bewaren van de tent. Bewaar uw tent op een droge en koele plaats

Als u de tent nat in het foedraal opbergt, kan (zelfs in korte tijd)
schimmelvorming en daardoor aantasting van de coating ontstaan.
Indien u de tent moet afbreken tijdens regen of wanneer deze nog
niet geheel droog is, droog hem dan ZO SPOEDIG MOGELIJK!
