Conguración Set-up

El Air se conecta mediante la red Wi-Fi y pue­de manejarse desde el teléfono inteligente o
con el control remoto.

- Compruebe que su router Wi-Fi está encen­dido y conectado a Internet.

- Preste atención a la conguración del rou­ter. Lea el manual de instrucciones del rou­ter. DHCP debe estar activado.

- El sistema Wi-Fi debería cumplir, como míni­mo, la especicación IEEE 802.11b/g.

Your Air is connected via the Wi-Fi network
and can be operated using your smartphone
or the remote control.

- Make sure that your Wi-Fi router is switched
on and connected to the Internet

- Note the router's settings. Read the router's
instruction manual for further information.
DHCP should be activated.

- The Wi-Fi system should comply with the
IEEE 802.11b/g specications as a mini­mum.

Download the ETON app to your smartphone
or tablet from the app stores. Depending on the
operating system, download the app for iOS de­vices from the Apple App Store and the app for
Android™ devices from the Google Play Store.

Puesta en funcionamiento Start-up

Conecte el cable de alimentación suministrado
a la toma (3) del Air y la toma de corriente.
Pulse el botón de encendido/apagado (2). El

Connect the included power cable to the pow­er socket (3) on the Air and the mains power
supply.
Press the power switch (2). The ETON logo on
the dial (1) ashes in alternating green/white
for approximately 50 seconds.

Warning: Make sure that your Wi-Fi router
is switched on and that your smartphone or
tablet, as well as your AIR, is within your Wi­Fi router's transmission range.

Install the ETON AIR app. This is available in
the following stores: www.etonair.com/

Make sure that the AIR speaker is switched on.
At rst, the LED display on the dial (1) will ash
in alternating green/white for approximately
50 seconds. After 50 seconds, the ETON LED
will ash white. The Air speaker is now ready
to be set up with Wi-Fi.

As an alternative to the above-mentioned Wi-Fi
connection, you can also use the set-up wizard
on your iOS (Apple) device.

Warning: This set-up step is only availa­ble when the ETON LED is ashing white.

Conexión con Bluetooth Connecting to Bluetooth

Si desea utilizar el altavoz Air sin conectarlo
a la red Wi-Fi, también puede disfrutar de su
música mediante Bluetooth.

- Abra la opción de Bluetooth en la congura­ción de su teléfono inteligente o tableta.

- Se muestra el altavoz ETON Air.

- Active la conexión en su teléfono inteligen­te/tableta. La indicación cambia a «conec­tado».

- El LED ETON del regulador (1) cambia al

If you want to use your Air speaker without
connecting to the Wi-Fi network, you can still
enjoy your music via Bluetooth.

- Open Bluetooth in your smartphone or tab­let settings

- The ETON Air speaker will be displayed.

- Activate the connection on your smartpho­ne/tablet. The display will change to show
that you are now connected.

- The ETON LED on the dial (1) will now chan­ge to blue. You are now connected and can
begin playback.

Conexión con AUX Connecting to AUX

Incluso cuando no se dispone de una conexión

Even if there is no Wi-Fi connection, you still
have the option of connecting external devices
via the AUX input and can still enjoy playback
via your Air speaker.

- Connect the included AUX jack cable to the
AUX input (7) on the Air speaker and to the
output of your external device.

- By pressing the AUX button on the included
remote control, you switch your Air speaker
to the AUX input. The ETON LED on the dial
(1) will change to green.

- Start the playback on your external device.

- You can adjust the volume with the dial (1)
as well as with the remote control.

Note your external device's output volume.

Take care of the output volume from your
external device.

Note: When you are connected to
Wi-Fi, you can also activate the AUX
input under "Sources" in the ETON app
and adjust the volume with your smart­phone/tablet.

Conecte una memoria USB a la toma USB (5).

Connect a ash drive to the USB input (5).
Note the playback formats as described in the
technical details.

If connected to Wi-Fi, you can activate the sour­ce via the ETON Air app. The ETON LED on
the dial (1) will change to yellow.

You can also activate the USB source using the
included remote control.

Reproducción de música a
través de USB

Si no desea utilizar su teléfono inteligente o
tableta, pero quiere reproducir archivos de
sonido desde un dispositivo USB, puede selec­cionar la fuente USB con el control remoto y
pulsar «Play» para iniciar la reproducción del
primer título que contenga el USB. Puede saltar
a otros títulos pulsando los botones de avance
y retroceso.

Si el AIR está en modo de suspensión y hay un
dispositivo USB conectado, puede iniciar la re­producción pulsando el botón de encendido/
apagado del control remoto.

Playback by using USB

If you do not want to use your smartphone or
tablet for playing audio contents, you have ad­ditional the ability to use only the remote con­trol of your AIR speaker. Therefore you could
choose the USB source by pressing on the USB
button. The playback of the rst track starts by
pressing the play button on the remote control.
With the previous - next buttons you could
change the music track.

When the AIR speaker is in deep standby mode
and the USB ash drive is plugged in, you have
to wake up the AIR speaker by pressing the
standby button and the playback starts.

The control dial on the front of your Air speaker
is used for various functions. It serves as a dis­play element but can also carry out functions.

- By turning the outer ring clockwise or anti­clockwise, you can increase or decrease the
playback volume

- By gently pressing the ETON Logo, you can
pause and resume playback (does not work
in AUX mode)

POWER SWITCH

You can disconnect your AIR from the power
supply entirely without having to pull out the
power cable. To do this, press the power switch
(2) on the back of the device. Make sure that
the switch is fully switched off. This is recom­mended if you are not planning on using the
device for some time.

Use one of the included power cables, making
sure to choose the one with the right type of
connection since power connections can vary
from country to country. Please nd out about
the conventional voltages in each country in
advance. The wrong operating current could
cause defects in the device or cause it to
short-circuit. Connect the cable to the device
rst and then connect it to the mains power
supply.

Toma LAN Ethernet (4) Ethernet socket (4)

Si su altavoz Air está fuera del alcance de su
red Wi-Fi, también puede utilizarlo a través de

If your Air speaker is located outside the trans­mission range of your Wi-Fi network, you can
use the Air speaker via the Ethernet connecti­on. To do this, connect the Ethernet socket (4) to
the Ethernet connection in your home network.

Reset button/FDR (6)

If you want to reset your Wi-Fi connection or
if the device experiences a system crash, the
Air speaker can be restored to factory settings
(Factory Data Reset).

- Switch the Air speaker off and on again
after approximately ve seconds or longer
using the power switch (2).

- The Air speaker is now in delivery condition
and you can begin setting it up as described
previously.

Toma de auriculares (8) Headphone input (8)

Permite conectar auriculares estéreo con una

You can connect headphones with a 3.5 mm
audio jack to the headphone input. As soon as
the headphones are connected, the Air's inter­nal speakers will be switched off.

Control remoto (9)

Remote control (9)

By removing the insulation sheet on the back
of the remote control, the battery connection
is established and the remote control is ready
for operation. For remote control functions, see
page 6.

Función de espera Standby function

Su altavoz AIR dispone de dos tipos de modo
de espera: «Auto-Standby» (modo de espera) y
«Deep-Standby» (modo de suspensión).

Your AIR speaker comes with two kinds of stand­by modes: auto-standby and deep-standby.

Auto-Standby: el altavoz AIR cambia al
modo de espera tras aprox. 30 minutos de
inactividad. Para volver a ponerlo en funciona­miento, basta con reproducir música (a través
de las fuentes Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/AUX) o pulsando
cualquier botón del control remoto o el disposi­tivo.

Deep-Standby: puede activar el modo de re­poso de forma inmediata pulsando el botón cor­respondiente del control remoto o activando la
función de temporizador en la app (vea «SLEEP»
en la página 31). El altavoz puede reactivarse
pulsando de nuevo cualquier botón del control
remoto o el dispositivo. En este modo, la repro­ducción de música no es suciente para activar
el altavoz.

Auto-standby: Your AIR speaker will go into
standby mode automatically after approxima­tely 30 minutes. It can be reactivated by play­ing music (over WiFi/Bluetooth/AUX-In source)
or by pressing any button on the remote control
respectively at device itself.

Deep-standby: You can also induce this
mode immediately by pressing the standby but­ton on the remote control or by using the sleep
function in the app (see page 31 SLEEP). The
AIR speaker will operate as normal again as
soon as the standby button or any other but­ton on the remote control or on the device is
pressed. Just playing music is not enough for
reactivating the speaker in this standby mode.

Función de actualización Update function

Cada cierto tiempo, ETON lanza actualizacio­nes que debería instalar en su AIR.

La app le informará de las actualizaciones dispo­nibles. Durante el proceso de actualización, el
altavoz AIR muestra el estado de funcionamiento
actual en el regulador frontal del siguiente modo:

Paso 1: el parpadeo lento del LED indica que
el AIR está recibiendo la actualización (duración

se está cargando la información en la memoria
(duración aprox.: 10 s).

Paso 3: el parpadeo muy rápido del LED indica
que se está comprobando que la instalación se
haya realizado correctamente.

Ever and anon, ETON supplies updates to you,
that you should install on your AIR speaker.

The app is going to inform you about the up­dates. While the installation process is running,
your AIR speaker shows you the progress of the
update at the front control dial:

Step 1: slowly ashing of the LED signies, that
the update is transmitted to the AIR speaker
(ca. 1 min)

Step 2: faster ashing of the LED signies, that
the informations are loaded into the ash me­mory. (ca. 10 sec.)

Step 3: even more faster ashing LED signies,
that the installation routine is proofed at the
moment.

Paso 4: el LED verde sin parpadeo indica que la
instalación se ha completado con éxito. El LED
rojo sin parpadeo indica un error en la instala­ción. Si esto ocurre, mantenga pulsada durante

Step 4: Solid green glowing LED signies, that
the installation progress was successful. Solid
red LED glowing signies a damaged installa­tion of the update. In this case, you have to
press the FDR-button at the back of the enclosu­re (at least 7 sec.). The AIR is now completely
reseted. After that, set up your speaker in your
network again and try to reinstall the update to
your AIR speaker.

Speaker Settings (congura­ción de altavoz)

En «Speaker Settings» puede congurar el al­tavoz y obtener información sobre la versión
del software.

Network (red):
Permite cambiar a otra red de router.

Speaker name
(nombre del altavoz):

Permite cambiar el nombre del altavoz.

Audio modo (modo de audio):

Permite utilizar el altavoz con otro altavoz en
modo estéreo. Puede seleccionar qué altavoz
debe estar en el canal derecho y cuál en el
izquierdo.

Equalizer (ecualizador):

Sirve para ajustar el sonido según sus prefe­rencias. Dispone de tres ecualizadores para
graves, medios y agudos, que puede regular
a su gusto.

Reset (reinicio):

del dispositivo.

Agrupación de altavoces Grouping speakers

Pulse la echa de la parte inferior de la inter­faz para acceder al submenú. A continuación,
pulse el símbolo «Grouped Speakers» (alta­voces agrupados); se abre una nueva ventana.

Se muestran los altavoces que hay en el grupo.

Para añadir otros altavoces, pulse en el sím­bolo + situado en la parte superior derecha; se
abre una ventana de selección. Para cerrar la
ventana de selección, pulse en cualquier punto
fuera de la ventana.

Para eliminar un altavoz del grupo, pulse
en el (símbolo de 3 puntos) situado junto al
altavoz correspondiente. Se abre una ventana.
Pulse «release speaker» (liberar altavoz). El
altavoz se elimina del grupo.

Si selecciona SPEAKER SETTINGS (congu­ración de altavoz), accederá a la congura­ción de altavoz antes descrita.

Open the sub-menu using the arrow symbol in
the lower section of the screen. Then tap the
symbol for "Grouped Speakers" and a new
window will open.

It will show the speakers currently in the group.

To add additional speakers, tap the up­per right-hand + symbol to open a selection
window. To close the selection window, simply
tap the blank space around it.

To remove a speaker from the group, tap the
(three-dot symbol) beside the corresponding
speaker. A window will open. Tap on "relea-
se speaker". The speaker has now been re­moved from the group.

Selecting SPEAKER SETTINGS will take you
back to the previously described speaker con­guration.

Risk caused by explosion

Choose a place to put your speaker that is not
exposed to extreme temperatures.
Never cover the speaker with anything. Ensure
sufcient air supply.
Do not use the speaker in environments which
have a high risk of re or explosion.

Risk to children

Make sure that children do not get hold of
packaging materials such as plastic sheeting .
Make sure that children cannot reach any small
parts from the device or the packaging. The­re is a risk that children could swallow these
small parts. If this happens, please seek medi­cal assistance for the child immediately. Never
let children use the speaker alone or without
supervision, and never let them play with it

Position the speaker in such a way that it does
not wobble and cannot fall down easily.
Protect it against being knocked over.
Make sure that cables, such as power cables
or AUX jack cables, are secured so neither
people nor animals can become entangled in
them.

Place the speaker far enough away from heat
sources such as ovens of any kind or any other
kind of heat-producing devices.

Magnetic objects can affect the speaker. You
should therefore avoid bringing magnetic ob­jects close to the speaker.

Avoiding the risk of re

Always use the speaker according to the inst­ructions. In the worst-case scenario, improper
use of the device could cause a re.

- Do not place the speaker near naked
ames, e.g. candles.

- Make sure that there is sufcient air supply
for the speaker

- Do not place the speaker in the sun and do
not expose it to direct sunlight.

- Never cover the device with objects, e.g.
brochures, blankets or curtains. This could
also impact the service life of the speaker.

Power surge

Lightning strikes can lead to power surges
and damage the speaker. You should there­fore alway disconnect the mains plug during
a thunderstorm. If you are going to leave the
speaker unattended for a long period of time
(e.g. holiday), you should also disconnect the
speaker from the power supply by removing
the mains plug.

Cleaning the speaker

Avoiding moisture

Avoid operating the speaker for prolonged
periods in damp rooms or surroundings. Mois­ture entering the device can adversely affect
the electronics and could render the warranty
void.
