WARNUNG
Bei der Installation eines eNEXHO-HU Rauchmelders, beachten Sie die folgenden Richtlinien:
› Um Fehlalarm zu vermeiden, sollten Sie in der Küche die
eNEXHO-IC Brandmelder verwenden, da diese anstelle von
Rauch auf einen raschen Temperaturanstieg reagieren.
› Wenn bei Ihnen zuhause die Türen nachts geschlossen blei-
ben, ist es besser, einen zusätzlichen Rauchmelder in jedem
Schlafzimmer einzubauen. Wenn die Türen hingegen offen
bleiben, ist es empfehlenswert, den Rauchmelder im Flur, in
der Nähe der Schlafzimmer zu installieren.
› Wenn in ihrem Haus geraucht wird, ist es zu empfehlen, den
Rauchmelder nicht an einem Ort zu installieren, wo sich viel
Zigarettenrauch ansammelt.
› Der ideale Platz für einen Rauchmelder ist an der Decke,
möglichst in der Mitte des Zimmers, da die Luft sich in den
Ecken oft wenig bewegt. Der Rauchmelder muss mindestens 30 cm entfernt sein von dekorativen Gegenständen (u.a.
Türen, Lampen, Türrahmen), die den Luftstrom zum Rauchmelder behindern könnten.
› In Zimmern mit Balken oder anderen Bau-Elementen,
die den Einbau von Rauchmeldern verhindern, sollten die
Rauchmelder an einer Wand, höchstens 30 cm unterhalb der
Decke und mindestens 15 cm von den Ecken entfernt, installiert werden.
WO SOLLTE DER e NEXHO-HU – RAUCHMELDER INSTALLIERT WERDEN?
Ermitteln Sie anhand der folgenden Tabelle, wie viele Brandmelder an einem Ort installiert werden sollten. Die maximale Über-
wachungsäche eines Melders ist abhängig von der Raumhöhe und der Deckenneigung.

INSTALLATION MIT BATTERIE
Drehen Sie den Tastkopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn von der
Brandmelderbasis ab. Schließen Sie dann eine 9-Volt-Batterie
an und legen Sie sie in das dafür vorgesehene Fach ein.
Positionieren Sie die Basis an der Decke und markieren Sie
dort mit einem Stift die Punkte, an denen die Befestigungsschrauben eingedreht werden sollen.
Entfernen Sie den Tastkopf einen Moment lang und befestigen
Sie an den gekennzeichneten Stellen Spreizdübel. Führen Sie
die Schrauben mit Hilfe eines Schraubendrehers teilweise in
die Spreizdübel ein. Halten Sie den Tastkopf von unten gegen
die Decke, indem Sie die Schraubenköpfe, die von der Decke
aus nach unten zeigen, durch die Aussparungen stecken, die
Ihnen vorher zur Markierung dienten. Drehen Sie den Tastkopf,
bis sich die Schrauben an der schmalen Seite dieser Ausspa-
rungen benden. Ziehen Sie sie anschließend an, sodass der
Tastkopf fest unter der Decke hängt.
Um den eNEXHO-HU-Brandmelder zu verschließen, müssen
der Pfeil auf dem Tastkopf (neben der Signallampe) und eine
der zwei Markierungen an der Seite der Rauchmelderbasis zunächst deckungsgleich sein. Drehen Sie den Tastkopf danach
so lange im Uhrzeigersinn, bis der Pfeil darauf mit beiden Markierungen der Basis deckungsgleich ist.
Der eNEXHO-HU-Brandmelder gibt bei Erkennung eines überdurchschnittlichen Temperaturanstiegs ein akustisches Warnsignal ab.
Ist der Brandmelder in ein eNEXHO-Hausautomationssystem eingebunden, wird er erst betriebsbereit,
wenn er innerhalb des Systems konguriert wird. Folgen
Sie dazu den Schritten, die in der Bedienungsanleitung des
Internet-Moduls eNEXHO-NT im Abschnitt "Wie sollte ein
Brandmelder im Hausautomationssystem installiert werden?" beschrieben sind.
Ist die Einrichtung der Geräte im Hausautomationssystem
abgeschlossen, ist im Haus ferner die Installation eines
akustischen Alarms ratsam, welches mit einem eNEXHOCR-Modul verbunden ist. Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitungen des Internet-Moduls eNEXHO-NT, um den Sicherheitsmodus des Systems so einzustellen, dass im Alarmfall
der akustische Alarm ausgelöst wird.
Beachten Sie bitte, dass Sie, wenn der NEXHO-HU-Rauchmelder Teil eines NEXHO-Systems ist, über die Anzeige des
Internet-Moduls NEXHO-NT oder des zentralen Steuerungs-Moduls NEXHO-UC darüber informiert werden, wenn die
Batterie eines der Geräte bald verbraucht ist.
INSTALLATION BEI EXTERNER STROMVERSORGUNG
Der eNEXHO-HU Brandmelder kann extern mit einer 12 VSpannungsquelle versorgt werden.
Drehen Sie den Tastkopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn von der
Brandmelderbasis ab.
Positionieren Sie die Basis an der Decke. Führen Sie die Kabel
der externen Energiequelle in die dafür vorgesehene Öffnung.
Markieren Sie anschließend mit einem Stift an der Decke die
Punkte, an denen die Befestigungsschrauben eingedreht werden sollen.
Entfernen Sie den Tastkopf einen Moment lang und befestigen
Sie an den gekennzeichneten Stellen Spreizdübel. Führen Sie
die Schrauben mit Hilfe eines Schraubendrehers teilweise in
die Spreizdübel ein. Halten Sie den Tastkopf von unten gegen
die Decke, indem Sie die Schraubenköpfe, die von der Decke
aus nach unten zeigen, durch die Aussparungen stecken, die
Ihnen vorher zur Markierung dienten. Drehen Sie den Tastkopf,
bis sich die Schrauben an der schmalen Seite dieser Ausspa-
rungen benden. Ziehen Sie sie anschließend an, sodass der
Tastkopf fest unter der Decke hängt.
Schneiden Sie die Steckverbinderkabel für die 9-Volt-Batterie
nahe des Steckverbinders durch. Verbinden Sie diese dann gemäß ihrer Polung mit den Kabeln der externen Energiequelle.
Um den eNEXHO-HU-Brandmelder zu verschließen, müssen
der Pfeil auf dem Tastkopf (neben der Signallampe) und eine
der zwei Markierungen an der Seite der Rauchmelderbasis zunächst deckungsgleich sein. Drehen Sie den Tastkopf danach
so lange im Uhrzeigersinn, bis der Pfeil darauf mit beiden Markierungen der Basis deckungsgleich ist.

WIE KONTROLLIERT MAN, OB DER eNEXHO-HU-BRANDMELDER FEHLERFREI FUNKTIONIERT?
Der eNEXHO-HU Brandmelder bietet die Möglichkeit eines
magnetischen Funktionstests, um das einwandfreie Funktionieren des Gerätes zu testen.
Sollte dies bei Batteriebetrieb nicht geschehen, ersetzen Sie
die alte Batterie im Gerät durch eine neue und wiederholen Sie
den Vorgang.
Nähern Sie für den Test einen Magneten an die Tastkopfsignallampe des eNEXHO-HU Brandmelders an. Als Reaktion sollten
alle Alarmlampen des Gerätes aueuchten und der Brandmelder nach einigen Sekunden ein akustisches Warnsignal abgeben.
WIE WIRD BEIM ENEXHO-HU BRANDMELDER EIN RESET DURCHGEFÜHRT?
Drücken Sie einmal auf die Reset-Taste, um den eNEXHOHU Brandmelder auf Werkseinstellungen zurückzusetzen.
Ein grünes Licht erscheint auf der Platine. Warten Sie, bis es

The following instructions will help you, to use your ETHERMA
quality product as effective as possible. They contain important
information about safety, installation, use and maintenance of
the devices. Please read the information in this instruction
carefully and keep them for feedback at a later time on.
WARNING
This system has been carefully designed to be as effective
as possible. There are some occasions, however, on which it
cannot provide accurate detection. The operation of any kind
of alarm system can be intentionally impeded or fail for other
reasons, such as the following:
› Improper installation. A security system must be properly in-
stalled to provide appropriate protection. This device should
not be placed in locations where it could be exposed to humidity or liquid from water sprinklers. Each installation must
be evaluated to ensure that all areas are covered.
› It is important that the security system is serviced periodi-
cally to ensure that it is in proper working order and parts
must be updated or replaced if they are not providing the expected protection.
› Power cuts. eNEXHO-HU requires an appropriate energy
supply for proper operation. If the device is working on batteries, it is possible that they will fail. Even if the batteries
do not fail, please make sure that they are in good condition
and are installed properly. If the device is running on an external power supply, any outage, even of short duration, will
interrupt the operation during the power cut. Power cuts of
any duration are often accompanied by voltage uctuations
which can damage the device. Following a power outage, please perform a complete check of the system to ensure that it
is working properly.
› Discharged batteries. The lifetime of a battery depends on
the environment in which it is found and on the number of
activations of the device. Environmental conditions such as
excessive humidity, high or low temperatures or abrupt temperature changes can reduce the lifetime of the battery. Regular inspections and maintenance will keep the system in
good operational condition.
› Sound alarm devices may not be heard by hearing-impaired
people.
› Phone line. The phone line could be out of order or busy for
a while. An intruder may also attempt to sabotage it by me-
ans of sophisticated methods. This practice is very difcult
to detect.
› Insufcient time. In some circumstances, even if the device
is working properly, it is possible that response measures
are not taken in time to protect the occupants or their belongings.
› Malfunction of a component. Despite utmost efforts to pro-
duce the most reliable system possible, it could fail on the
grounds of the malfunction of a component.
› Inadequate inspections. Most of the problems which cause
malfunctions in a system can be detected by performing regular checks and maintenance. The whole system should be
tested on a weekly basis and immediately after any intrusion
or intrusion attempt, re, storm, earthquake, accident or any
kind of building works.
› Security and insurance. Despite all its advantages, an alarm
system is not a substitute for home or life insurance. An
alarm system does not exempt the user from taking precautions regarding prevention and minimisation of damages in
an emergency situation.

INSTALLATION RUNNING ON BATTERIES
Unscrew by turning the head anticlockwise with respect to the
detector base. Push the snap onto the 9-volt battery. Place the
battery inside the battery holder.
Place the detector on the ceiling and mark the xing screws’
location using a pencil.
Remove the detector head momentarily and insert the wall
plugs in the marked locations. Partially insert the screws into
the wall plugs using a screwdriver. Hold the detector head up to
the ceiling again and insert the screws into the holes previously
used as a marker. Turn the detector head until the screws are
located over the narrowest part. Drive the screws in to x the
head to the ceiling.
To close the eNEXHO-HU smoke detector, align the arrow that
is engraved on the detector head next to the pilot light with the
mark engraved on the side of the base. Turn the head clockwise until the arrow lines up with the two marks engraved on
the base.
The smoke detector eNEXHO-HU will emit an audible warning
signal upon detection of smoke in the room where it has been
placed.
Please note that the re detector must be congu-
red together with the eNEXHO-NT internet control
module so that the detector is installed in the system and
can be controlled from one of these control units. For that
purpose, consult the section on how to install re detectors
in your automation network in the user manual of the eNEXHO-NT internet module.
Once the device has been congured in the eNEXHO home-
automation system, it is advisable to install an audible warning alarm for interior spaces connected to a eNEXHO-CR
power-control module. Please consult the user manual of
the eNEXHO-NT internet module to learn how to congure
the security mode so that it activates the audible warning
alarm in case of detection.
Please note that if you have installed the device in a eNEXHO home-automation installation, the eNEXHO-NT internet
module will display a warning if the battery of one of the devices is low.
INSTALLATION RUNNING ON EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
The eNEXHO-HU smoke detector can be powered by an external 12-volt power supply.
For that purpose, unscrew by turning the head anticlockwise
with respect to the detector base.
Place the detector base on the ceiling. Guide the external power supply cables through the hole of the device designed for
this purpose and mark the location of the xing screw holes
using a pencil.

Remove the detector head momentarily and insert the wall
plugs in the marked locations. Partially insert the screws into
the wall plugs using a screwdriver. Hold the detector head up
to the ceiling again and insert the screw heads into the holes
previously used as a marker. Turn the detector head until the
screws are located over the narrowest part. Drive the screws in
to x the head to the ceiling.
Cut the wires of the 9-volt battery close to the snap. Respecting
the polarity, join the two terminals of the power supply with the
two wires that were previously connected to the snap.

To close the NEXHO-HU smoke detector, align the arrow that

HOW CAN I TEST THAT THE e NEXHO-HU SMOKE DETECTOR IS WORKING PROPERLY?
The eNEXHO-HU smoke detector allows you to perform a magnetic test to check the proper functioning of the device.
If this does not happen and the device is running on battery
power, replace the battery and perform a new test.
In order to perform a test, hold a magnet to the pilot light of the
device head. At this point, all device warning light indicators
should light up. After a few seconds, the alarm will emit an
audible warning signal.
HOW DO I RESET A e NEXHO-HU SMOKE DETECTOR?
In order to reset the eNEXHO-HU smoke detector, press the installation button once. The green indicator light on the circuit board
will come on. Wait until the indicator light starts to ash and, at that point, press the button again. The light will start to ash more
slowly and will stay on for a few more seconds. When the light goes off, the reset process is completed.
If you have installed the NEXHO-HU smoke detector
in a eNEXHO home-automation installation, once it
has been reset, the detector will not send warning alerts un-
til you have re-congured it. To re-congure it, please refer
to the manual of the NEXHO-NT internet module and follow
the steps described in the section on how to install the corresponding detector in the home-automation network.
