What are the default settings of my IP camera?
Username: root
Password: admin
IP address: 192.168.1.100
How can I restore my camera to his original factory settings?
• Hold the ‘Default’ button on the camera until the ‘Ready’ light stops burning. The camera will restart and
can be accessed with the original factory settings as shown above.
Does my IP camera work behind a firewall?
• This is possible, but you will have to forward a port in your firewall. Consult the manual of your firewall
how to forward ports.
I can’t access my camera with my internet browser?
• Please check the cables of your camera.
• Please check the connection of you camera. Open the DOS-prompt (CMD) and try to ping your camera
(ping 192.168.1.100). It is possible that the IP-address is not typed correctly.
I cannot see a preview picture when I access the camera with an internet browser.
• Please check the security settings of your internet browser. ActiveX must be enabled. See ‘trusted Zone’
by ‘internet options’.

Introduction
This network/IP camera is the perfect solution for monitoring all kinds of rooms, like a reception hall or
warehouse. The camera is also a perfect solution for a baby room or living room. From anywhere in the
world at any time, you can monitor the room with any web browser, if you connect the camera to an internetrouter.

Network Installation procedure
1. Connect the IP camera to your network.
2. Place the installation CD-rom in the CD-rom drive of your computer.
The installation procedure will start automatically.
3. Install the IP Auto Detect Tool (Only for Windows 2000 and XP users).
4. Open the IP detect program from your desktop.
5. Click ‘Auto Detect’.
6. Select the found device (192.168.1.100) en and choose ‘Settings’.
7. You will see the manufactory settings on the right side of the screen.
You can change these settings to your own network settings if you would like.
8. Click the ‘Ok’ button.
9. The installation is ‘Finished’.
USB Installation procedure (optional)
1. Connect the IP camera to a unused USB port on your computer.
2. Move the selection button on your camera to “Computer’.
3. Place the installation CD-rom in the CD-rom drive of your computer.
The installation procure will start automatically.
4. Choose “Install USB Driver”.
5. The installation is ‘Finished’.
Now you can use your IP camera for programs like ‘MSN’ and ‘Netmeeting’.
Camera view / webpage configuration
Note: Do not follow these steps when using the USB connection on your IP camera!
1. Start the Internet Explorer.
2. Click ‘Tools’ and choose ‘Internet Options’.
Select the tab ‘Security’ and enable ActiveX.
3. Type in de address bar: 192.168.1.100 (This is the default IP-address of your camera).
4. Type ‘Username’: root.
5. Type ‘Password’: admin.
6. Select your language. (for example Dutch of English).
7. Now you have entered the webpage of your IP camera.
8. With the function ‘Live Video’ you can view the picture of your IP camera.
9. With the function ‘Settings’ you will enter the configuration menu where you can change all camera
options.
• Current view: gives you the possibility to view the camera picture directly on your monitor.
• Image control: gives you the possibility to change the picture preferences.
• Basic settings: gives you the possibility to change the default IP-address of your camera. If you
change the default IP-address to a new IP-address, the new address will be used to access your
camera in the future.
• Wireless settings (only for IPCM02): gives you the possibility to change the name, type and security
method of you wireless camera.
Ad Hoc: Is a direct computer to computer connection and can be used if you want to connect your
camera directly to you computer. For this option your computer also must set to AD Hoc mode.
Infrastructure: Select this option when you have a wireless Access Point (wireless modem or router).
SSID: Type here the name (SSID) of your existing network (wireless modem or router).
With the option ‘WEP Key’ you can secure your wireless network. This key must be equal to the key
that is used in your existing network.
64-bit security (10 hexadecimal characters)
128-bit security (26 hexadecimal characters)
Hexadecimal characters: 1 till 9 and A till F
Example of a 64-bit key: 1a2b3c4d6e or 9876543210.
• Network status: gives you the current status of your network.
• System/Client logs: gives you information about the connected clients.
• Device Admin: with this function you can change the default password (admin) of your camera and
gives the possibility to reset the camera to his factory settings.
• PPPoE: with PPPOE it is possible to connect your camera directly to ADSL modem. To use this option
you must have a PPPOE internet connection.
• Dynamic DNS: with Dynamic DNS you can give your camera hostname. For this option you’ll have to
register the hostname by a DynDNS-provider like www.dyndns.com.
• FTP service: gives you the possibility to send recorded pictures to a FTP server.
• E-mail service: gives you the possibility to mail recorded pictures automatically.
• NTP service: is an option where you can set the current time zone (England is GMT 0).
• User management: gives you the possibility to change the rights of camera users.

DirectX 9: Drivers for sound and video.
DivX Codec: Compress your video files to a smaller file format.
WGuard plus: Motion detection software.
