1 FCC Statement
Any modifications to the unit, unless expressly approved by eTab, could void the user's authority to
operate the equipment. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device , pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates,
uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee
that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and
on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or locate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is

2 Introduction
This document will provide general instruction on how to operate the eTab 7 inch and 5 inch devices as
follows:
• Turn on devices
• Change battery on devices
• General care and cleaning
Note: Instructions provided in this user guide apply to both the 7 inch and 5 inch eTab devices.

2.1 Turn on Devices
Follow these instructions for turning on the 5 and 7 inch devices:
1. Use the end of a paper clip for powering on the device.
2. Insert the end of the paper clip into the small hole in the back of the device; hold until you feel the
power button click.
3. Hold the power button down until the device turns on; then release the pape r clip.

2.2 Turn off Devices
Follow these instructions for turning on the 5 and 7 inch devices:
1. Use the end of a paper clip for powering off the device.
2. Insert the end of the paper clip into the small hole in the back of the device; hold until you feel the
power button click.
3. Hold the power button down until the device turns off; then release the paper clip.

2.3 Change Battery on Devices
Follow these instructions for changing the battery on the 5 and 7 inch devices:
1. On the back of the device, pull down the battery release latch.
2. While pulling down the release latch, slide the battery out of the device.
3. Slide a fully charged battery into the battery slot until the latch clicks.

2.4 General Care Cleaning
To clean the devices, use a damp soft cloth to wipe the front and back of the devices. Note: Do not use
any harsh or abrasive cleaners.
