OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
I. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Before starting the appliance into operation for the first time, read carefully this
User's Manual, study the diagrams shown and keep the Manual for future reference.
- Check, whether the voltage specifications shown in the appliance nameplate conform to
the voltage in your mains.
- The product is designed to be used in home and other like applications only!
- Take every precaution so that the appliance can never be used by children or
incompetent persons unattended!
- Never put any tool or the tube end to your eyes or ears!
- Never use the cleaner with wet hands or feet!
- Never leave the appliance unattended!
- Never submerge the cleaner or any part of it in water!
- Never use the cleaner to clean wet or moist flooring! Water entering the appliance can
cause permanent damage and put the appliance out of operation. This type of defect is
not covered by the warranty.
- Never use the cleaner to remove sharp objects such as broken glass, hot, volatile or
explosive agents such as ash, glowing cigarette butts, white spirit, or solvents
lubricants such as grease or oil as these items can damage the dust bag or the cleaner.
- Using the appliance to clean very fine dust particles such as fine sand, cement,
or plaster can cause the dust bag pores to clog. By that, the air throughput through the
cleaner and hence the suction power are compromised. In that case both the dust bag
and the micro-filters must be exchanged even if the dust bag is only partially filled.
- With the cleaner model featuring the remote control feature the signal is transmitted from
the hose handle to the cleaner electronic system via infrared rays reflected from the walls.
This is why you should never cover the transmitter on the appliance handle, to avoid
disrupting the desired mode of operation of the appliance. In free space, the remote
control handle must be directed at the cleaner body (like you do with your TV remote
control device).
- In case the infrared remote control device is kept in a specific area (such as
one separated - by a wall, round the corner), in open - on the balcony, or in enclosed
space - in a cabinet, in the car, etc.) and the cleaner is outside that space, the desired
functions on the appliance will not be activated.
- With the cleaner model featuring remote control, in case the cleaner is one STANDBY
and there is a momentary power cut, the cleaner is automatically reset into the ECO
mode after the power supply has been renewed.
- The life of the batteries of the remote control device shipped with the cleaner is about two
years in normal service.
- With the cleaner featuring the built-in socket to supply the rotary brush, always unplug the
cleaner from the mains before cleaning or maintaining the cleaner.
- Always use only undamaged and electric lines of the correct type.
