OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for choosing the Escali XL180, Extra Large Display scale.
This precision state-of-the-art measuring instrument is most accurate
when weighing on a flat hard surface.

Avoid carpet. As the electronic sensors are sensitive, avoid dropping or
jarring the scale and store where it will be protected from impact.

INITIAL SETUP :

1. Remove the insulating plastic strip from the batteries
and ensure the +/- terminals are correctly placed as
shown inside the battery compartment. This scale
operates on 2-CR2032 lithium batteries (included).

2. Select desired unit mode (Kg or Lb) with slide switch
on bottom of scale.

3. Switch scale on by pressing key.

HOW TO WEIGH:

1. Use foot to tap on the middle of the weighing platform.

2. LCD shows a moving ‘8’, then ‘0,0’.

3. Now step on the plastic platform and stand still.

4. Your weight reading is shown in about 3 seconds then locked.

5. You can now step o the scale. The display will hold your weight reading
for about 5 seconds

6. The scale then turns o automatically in about 8 seconds.

TURNING OFF YOUR SCALE:

The scale turns o automatically in about 8 seconds.

CHANGING THE WEIGHING MODE:

You can simply change the weighing mode on the back side of the scale.

DO NOT PLACE OVERWEIGHT ITEMS ON THE SCALE:

Weighing items over the maximum weight capacity will cause an overload ‘Err’
error to display. Immediately remove overweight items to avoid causing damage
to your scale.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

Replace the batteries when the LCD display shows the low battery ‘LO’ symbol.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

1.) Make sure your scale is at room temperature, and on a stable
horizontal surface free of vibration.

2.) This scale is not waterproof. Do not expose to moisture.

3.) As this scale is a precision instrument, it must be treated with
extreme care. Avoid rough treatment, shaking and vibration.

4.) Do not disassemble this scale or the warranty will be void.

5.) The display value may be aected by electromagnetic
disturbances such as operating near a radio. If this occurs,
move the device that is causing the disturbance and turn the
scale o and restart.

CÓMO PESARSE

1. Seleccione la unidad de peso (kg/lb) con el switch en la parte
de abajo de la báscula.

2. Presione con su pie la parte de en medio de la plataforma de
plástico.

3. La pantalla muestra un “8” moviéndose, enseguida “0.0”

4. Ahora súbase en la plataforma de plástico y quédese quieto.

5. Su peso se mostrará en aproximadamente 3 segundos y
luego se quedará fijo.

6. La báscula se apaga automáticamente en aproximadamente
8 segundos.

APAGANDO SU BÁSCULA

La báscula se apaga automáticamente en aproximadamente 8
segundos.

CAMBIANDO LA UNIDAD DE MEDIDA

Usted simplemente puede cambiar la unidad de medida de la
báscula en la parte de abajo de la misma.

NO COLOQUE SOBREPESO EN LA BÁSCULA

Objetos que sobrepasen la capacidad máxima causarán un error
que será inmediatamente mostrado en la pantalla “Err”.
Inmediatamente quite los objetos con sobrepeso para evitar
causar algún daño a su báscula.

REPOSICIÓN DE BATERÍAS

Cambie las baterías cuando la pantalla muestre el símbolo de
batería baja “LO”.

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL

1. Asegúrese que su báscula se encuentre a temperatura ambi­ ente y en una superficie horizontal libre de vibraciones.

2. Esta báscula no es contra agua. No la exponga a la humedad.

3. Esta báscula es un instrumento de precisión y tiene que ser
tratado con extremo cuidado. Evite trato brusco, movimiento
o vibraciones.

4. No desarme esta báscula, de lo contrario la garantía automáti­ camente será nula.

5. El valor mostrado en la pantalla puede ser afectado por
alteraciones electromagnéticas como el funcionamiento
cerca de un radio. Si esto ocurriera, mueva el aparato que
está provocando dicha alteración, espere a que se apague la
báscula y vuélvala a prender.
