SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
Owner must ensure that all operators know and follow these rules for safe operation of the bow.
WARNING
NOT A TOY FOR USE BY CHILDREN! MAY CAUSE SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURY! READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS
CAREFULLY! KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN! USE ONLY WITH ADULT SUPERVISION!
Bow and arrows shipped in this set are matched. Do not use arrows in any other bow.
WARNING
AN ARROW SHAFT CAN BECOME DAMAGED FROM IMPACT WITH HARD OBJECTS OR OTHER ARROWS. A
DAMAGED ARROW COULD BREAK UPON RELEASE AND INJURE YOU OR A BYSTANDER. YOU MUST CAREFULLY
INSPECT EACH ARROW SHAFT, NOCK AND OTHER COMPONENTS BEFORE EACH SHOT TO SEE THAT THEY HAVE
NOT BEEN DAMAGED. BEFORE SHOOTING, LOOK CLOSELY FOR NICKS, CRACKS, SPLITS, DENTS OR OTHER MARKS
THAT COULD INDICATE DAMAGE TO THE ARROW.
IF AN ARROW HAS BEEN DAMAGED, OR IF YOU BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN DAMAGED, DO NOT SHOOT IT AGAIN, AS IT
COULD BREAK ON RELEASE, AND SHARP ARROW PIECES COULD HIT AND INJURE YOU OR SOMEONE NEARBY.
WARNING
DO NOT SHOOT YOUR BOW WITHOUT AN ARROW (DRY FIRE)! ALWAYS USE ARROWS PROPERLY SPINED FOR
THIS BOW. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY MIS-NOCK AND MIS-FIRE, CHECK BOW AND ARROW THOROUGHLY FOR
POSSIBLE DAMAGE. REPLACE ARROWS IF BENT OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. NEVER SHOOT AN ARROW THAT IS
LESS THAN 1" IN FRONT (FORWARD) OF THE ARROW REST WHEN THE BOW IS DRAWN TO ITS FULL LENGTH. TO
MEASURE CORRECT ARROW LENGTH, HAVE THE ARCHER CAREFULLY DRAW THE BOW TO FULL DRAW WITHOUT
AN ARROW AND HOLD. AN ADULT MEASURES THE DISTANCE FROM THE ARROW NOCK LOCATION ON THE
STRING TO THE FRONT OF THE REST. DO NOT RELEASE BOW! LET STRING DOWN SLOWLY! ADD 1" TO THE
MEASURED DISTANCE TO EQUAL THE MINIMUM ARROW LENGTH TO USE WITH THIS BOW SET-UP. IF MODULES
ARE CHANGED, THE DRAW LENGTH IS CHANGED, AND ARROW LENGTH REQUIREMENTS CHANGE.
Bows and arrows are not toys! Safety precautions should be taken just as with an air rifle or darts. The user should read, understand and
follow these guidelines:
Always remember that a loaded bow is a deadly weapon!
•
Never show your skill by using a human target or permit someone to hold a target for you!
•
Be sure no one is standing in front of or to the sides of the archer while bow is being drawn or shot! Be sure everyone is standing behind
•
the archer.
Shoot only at the target. Try first shots at closer distances until the archer feels comfortable shooting the bow.
•
Never use arrows that are too short!
•
Arrows are not made to withstand impact to anything other than a foam or straw target. Shooting arrows into the ground, trees, wall,
•
etc. will in most cases cause damage to the arrow leaving it unusable.
When removing arrows from a target, always grab onto the arrow shaft as close to the target as possible. Never grasp the fletching or
•
feathers to remove an arrow from a target.
Arrows are not warranted due to misuse of the arrow.
•
Replace your bowstring when it becomes worn or frayed.
•
Always string your bow properly!
•
Always use finger and arm protectors!
•
Never use a target that cannot stop an arrow!
•
Always have an adequate backstop in the area behind the target. Make sure the area behind the target is clear and free of objects that
•
may cause the arrows to bounce off or be deflected.
Do not allow anyone to retrieve arrows until ALL arrows have been shot!
•
Remember, look before you shoot!
•
Never use a damaged bow or damaged arrows! Inspect bow and arrows periodically for imperfections such as cracks, splits or
•
splinters. If any damage is detected, bow or arrow must be destroyed!
