WARNING
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE
WARNINGS MAY RESULT IN
SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR
PROPERTY DAMAGE.
Owner must ensure that all
players know and follow these
rules for safe operation of the
unit.
• Do not dunk on this unit.
• Do not hang from any part of the unit, including the backboard, rim,
or net.
• Do not slide, climb, or play on base and/or pole.
• Surface beneath the base must be smooth and free of gravel or
other sharp objects. Punctures cause leakage and could cause
unit to tip over.
• After assembly is complete, fill system completely with water or
sand. Never leave unit in an upright position without filling base
with weight, as unit may tip over causing injuries.
• Keep organic material away from pole base. Grass, litter, etc. could
cause corrosion and/or deterioration.
• Check pole system twice a year for signs of corrosion (rust, pitting,
chipping). Remove rust and/or loose paint completely and repaint
with exterior enamel paint. If rust has penetrated through the steel
anywhere, replace pole immediately.
• Check unit before each use for loose hardware, caps/plugs,
excessive wear, and signs of corrosion and repair before using.
• Check unit before each use for stability by trying to move pole. If
pole moves, check contents of ballast.
• Do not use system during windy and/or severe weather conditions;
unit may tip over. Place system in an area protected from the wind
and free from personal property and/or overhead power lines.
• During play, use extreme caution to keep player's face away from
the backboard, rim, and net. Serious injury could occur if teeth/face
come in contact with the backboard, rim, or net.
• Wear a mouthguard when playing to avoid dental injuries.
• When adjusting height or moving unit, keep hands and fingers away
from areas in which clearance between parts changes.
• When moving unit, tighten clamp knob to keep mechanism from
shifting. Do not allow children to move or adjust unit.
• During play, do not wear jewelry (rings, watches, necklaces, etc.).
Objects may entangle in net.

Thank you for buying our basketball pole. We try hard to ensure that our products are of high
quality and free of manufacturing defects and of missing parts. However, if you have any
problems with your basketball pole, such as a manufacturing defect or a missing part, please
DO NOT RETURN IT TO THE STORE.
FAX: (812) 467-1399
Or write us at:
CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT., P.O. Box 889, Evansville, IN 47706
Please provide model number, serial number, and/or part number of the product and/or part when
you call or write. These numbers can be found on the product, packaging, or in this owner's manual.
To make assembly of your basketball pole
easier, use the Hardware Identifier on page
2 to identify and sort all fasteners.
Do not tighten hardware until instructed to do so. If
hardware is tightened too soon, mounting holes may not
align and parts may not fit together. Leave locknuts
slightly loose until you are instructed to tighten them.
Read this manual all the way
through before starting to build
this unit. Then read each step
completely before beginning
that step. Be sure anyone who
uses this unit has read this
manual.
Some smaller parts may be
shipped inside larger tubes.
Check inside tubes before
assembling or ordering parts.
IMPORTANT! All three pole sections are different.
Use the illustration below to identify correct
sections (note the hole locations). Once
sections are seated together, you will NOT be
able to pull them apart!

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Make a mark on middle pole section (#27) at 4¼
inches from the top (tapered) end. See Figure 1.
Slide top pole section (#26) onto middle section
and seat securely by tapping the poles on a block
of wood. Seat the poles until there is no movement
or until the bottom edge of top pole reaches the
4¼" mark on middle pole. See Figure 1.
IMPORTANT! Make sure the pole sections are
aligned EXACTLY as shown in Figure 2 before
tapping them together! Once sections are seated
together, you will NOT be able to pull them apart!
2. Lay the top and middle pole assembly on flat ground and align the
bottom pole section (#28) with it as shown in Figure 2. Insert a
bolt #17 through a hole in the top pole section and one through a
hole in the bottom pole section as shown. Push the bolts through
until the head of both bolts contacts the pole. Allow the threaded
end of each bolt to rest on the ground. This will ensure proper
alignment of poles. If proper alignment is not achieved, your
backboard and goal will not be square with the ballast. See Figure
1A at right.
Figure 1
Carefully slide the pole sections together, keeping the holes
properly aligned. Now pick the sections up and tap them on a block
of wood until there is no movement or until the bottom edge of the
middle pole reaches the 4¼" mark on the bottom pole. Lastly,
remove the bolts #17 from the poles.
