1 SET-UP THE U82 FOR USE WITH WELDCLOUD™
Download U82 software
1. Download the U82software before connecting to the WeldCloud™ unit.
Login to https://esabcloud.com . Select Download software » Manual upgrade .
2. Download the U82 zip file.
3. Unzip the content to a FAT32 formatted USB memory.

Connect the U82 to WeldCloud™
1. Turn off the power source's main
switch.
2. Open the cover on the left-hand end of
the control panel. Insert the USB
memory into the USB connector.
3. Switch on the power source. One beep
indicates that convert process is
started.
It is finished when two beeps are
heard.

4. Switch off the power source.
5. Remove the USB memory. Close the
cover.
The unit is now ready to be used
together with a WeldCloud™ power
source.

2 CREATE THE DEVICE IN WELDCLOUD™
1. Login to https://esabcloud.com .
2. Select Asset Management .
If no site is available, create one first with the button Create site .
Select a site in the Organisation structure . The asset will be created within this site
and also get the same location and time zone as the site.
3. Click Create asset .
4. Enter Asset name (machine name) and click Create .
5. Click Download configuration file and save the configuration file.

3 CONNECT POWER SOURCE TO GATEWAY
1. Set the static IP address on the computer
Ethernet connection to:
192.168.254.10
and net mask to:
255.255.255.0
For information about how to set the
static IP address and net mask, refer to
the computer operating system
information.
2. Connect the computer to the power
source with a network cable.
3. Open a web browser on the computer
and go to:
https://192.168.254.1 .
Default username:
Default password:
admin
gateway
The password must be changed at first
login to prevent unauthorized access.

4 CONFIGURE WELDCLOUD™ SETTINGS
1. Configure WeldCloud™ settings at Configuration » Cloud Configuration .
2. Select Configuration type » Import file .
3. Click Browse at Upload WeldCloud configuration . Select the recently downloaded
WeldCloud™ configuration file.
Click Save changes .
4. Wait until the cloud connection and configured network configurations are marked as
OK.

5 CONFIGURE NETWORK SETTINGS
Configure network settings at Configuration » Network Configuration in the menu.
1. For wireless network connection, select
Wifi .
2. For wired connection, select Wired . There are two options:
Option 1: DHCP
Option 2: STATIC
NOTE!
The configuration above must allow connection to:
• Azure IoT hub: *.azure-devices.net and MQTT communication
on port 8883 .
• Azure storage: https://edsdownload.blob.core.windows.net/*
Must not use 192.168.0.x IP-address range.
3. The icons in the top right corner display
the status for Wifi and Ethernet
connectivity.
