INSTRUCTIONS for
TRIGGER LOCK-IN KIT
Part No. 996959
IMPORTANT: Trigger Lock-In Kit MUST NOT be used with spotweld option.
The Trigger Lock-In feature allows the operator to release
the torch switch after starting the weld; to stop the welding cycle, he simply depresses the torch switch again.
The assembly consists of a small printed circuit board
with mounting brackets and hardware (two each No. 6 32
x 3/8 in. screws, No. 6 washers, No. 6-32' nuts), and a
printed circuit board socket with pre-lugged leads.
TO INSTALL IN MIG-35 WIRE FEEDERS:
Precautionary measures should be taken to pro.; wide
maximum protection against electrical shock. Be sure
that all power is off by opening the line (wall) disconnect switch. To be doubly safe, check your input leads
with a voltmeter to make sure that all power is OFF.

NOTE: If Preflow-Postflow Option (P/N 994853) is in-
stalled with the Trigger Lock-in kit the yellow wire
from the Lock-In circuit and the Orange wire from
the Preflow-Postflow circuit should be spliced together Also a capacitor (C8) must be removed
from the Lock-in printed circuit board. For location of this capacitor see diagram below.
ICI
1. Remove the cover from the MIG-35 wire feeder. Locate the two 9/64-in. dia. holes (horizontally spaced
3/4-in. on centers) on the front panel above the speed
control potentiometer. With the component side facing the top of the control, mount the circuit board with
the hardware supplied.
2. Make the required electrical connections as shown
on the schematic diagram in the instruction booklet
for your wire feeder, these connections are as follows:
Wires From Kit Terminal Block
Black TB1-7
Blue TB1-2
Yellow TB1-1
Red TB1-4
To complete the electrical connections, remove the jumper
between TB1 -1 and TB 1-2.
C8
Remove capacitor (C8) when
Lock-In and Preflow/Postflow
kits are used simultaneously.
