W-43
W-43 With W ater -Cooling Jacket
These heating torches are designed for use with medium pressure acetylene. The y are not for use with lo wpressure acetylene (less than 1 psi). The W-42 has the rated capacity (consumption - oxygen and acetylene) of 500 cfh; the W-43 is rated up to 1000 cfh.
These torches also may be used with other fuel gases, such as propane, methane, hydrogen and natural gas .
Each of these torches is available with either a long or short mixer tube. You can purchase the mixer tubes separately to convert from one length to the other.
IMPORTANT: Use only clean water. Do not use the
water at more than 50 psi. Higher pressure may damage the heating head or the water jacket.
SHUTOFF VALVE - For best performance you should use a quick-acting double shutoff valve to control the flow of oxygen and Fuel Gas to your torch. The V-21 Shutoff Valve (07X67) is available and recommended for use with the W-42 and W-43 Torches.
HOSES - 1. Use 1/2-in. I.D. oxygen and acetylene
hoses with "C" -size (7/8-in.-14) fittings, except on the W -43, use 3/4-in. I.D . acetylene hose with "D" size (1-1/4-in.-12) fittings.
2. Connect the hoses in lengths as required to the regulators and to the quick-acting shutoff valve.
3. Connect the hoses to the torch and to the quick-acting shutoff valve. (Hose lengths should be no less than 6-ft. on the W-42; 8-ft. on the W-43.)
4. Tighten all hose connections with a wrench.
NEEDLE V ALVES - If you need a commercial needle valve in the fuel gas line to adjust flo w , you may insert it in the line to adjust flow, you may inser t it in the line between the shutoff valv e and torch, or close to the inlet side of the shutoff valve.
