Multimaster 260 Spool Gun Module

Installation Instructions
1. Remove four sheet metal screws from plate covering the Spool Gun mounting location on the Multimaster
260 front panel.
2. Remove the 15 pin (white plastic) jumper plug from the wiring harness attached to the cover plate. NOTE-
DO NOT loose the jumper plug. If the Spool Gun module is removed (for any reason) the jumper plug
MUST be reinstalled. The Multimaster MUST have either the module or jumper plug installed for proper
operation.
3. Clip the plastic tie wrap to remove the cover plate from the wire harness.
4. Connect the 15 pin plastic plug of the Multimaster 260 wiring harness to the mating plug on the Spool Gun
Module.
5. Carefully stuff the wire harness and plugs through the access hole being careful not to pinch any wires
between the mounting plate and the console front panel.
6. Reinstall the four sheet metal screws into the Spool Gun Module plate and secure.
7. Plug in the Amphenol plug of the ST-23 or MT-250SG.
8. Place the Spool Gun toggle switch in the “SPOOL” position.
9. Set the SELECTION switch to the MIG position and preset the wire speed by pressing the PRESET button
rotating the wire feed speed pot of the spool gun and reading the wire feed speed in the top Display
window.
NOTE: Due to the differences between the ST-23 and MT-250SG motor, the wire feed speed displayed is not
an accurate indication of wire feed speed. Use the chart below to accurately set the wire feed speed
depending on the type of spool gun being used.
