EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Faulty or improperly maintained equipment can cause injury or death.
Therefore:
1.Always have qualified personnel perform the installation, troubleshooting and
maintenance work. Do not perform any electrical work unless you are
qualified to perform such work.
2.Before performing any maintenance work inside a power source, disconnect
the power source from the incoming electrical power.
3.Maintain cables, earthing wire, connections, power cord and power supply in
safe working order. Do not operate any equipment in faulty condition.
4.Do not abuse any equipment or accessories. Keep equipment away from
heat sources such as furnaces, wet conditions such as water puddles, oil or
grease, corrosive atmospheres and inclement weather.
5.Keep all safety devices and cabinet covers in position and in good repair.
6.Use equipment only for its intended purpose. Do not modify it in any manner.
Failing to follow these instructions may result in risk of fire, electric shock or personal
injury.
•Only charge the correct type of rechargeable battery to reduce the risk of
explosion, personal injury or other damage.
•Do not open the charger. Any repairs should be done by the manufacturer or
authorized service personnel.
•Do not attempt to take the unit apart; this action voids the warranty. Do not
disassemble the unit when it is plugged into the mains electric supply to avoid
the risk of electric shock or fire.
•Do not use the charger if it is visibly damaged.

The lamp is mounted in a holder that is fitted to the automatic welding machine. The holder is
provided with a flexible attachment so that the lamp can be adjusted to the desired position in
front of the weld point.
Lamps can be ordered as complete build-in sets, containing all components necessary for
the installation.
The laser lamp contains a low-power laser diode emitting red light at a wavelength of
650nm.
The light point is intensive and visible also in broad daylight.
The laser lamp can be fitted with cables of different lengths.
The installation must be carried out by a professional.
The laser lamp is supplied as an accessory. It is connected to the PEK, PEH, Versotrac
Control Unit and VersotracCadet Control Unit according to the following sections.
The laser lamp must always be:
•out of operation during installation
•installed below eye level
•installed on the welding head it is intended for
•installed on an attached lamp holder
•pointing downwards towards the working piece
Connecting the supply voltage to the laser lamp
Connect the supply voltage cables to the laser lamp as follows:
1.0V to pin1 (brown)
2.5–24VAC or 5–24VDC to pin2 (white)
The pin configurations are according to the graphic below.
