STEP 1
Basic Machine Assembly
Attach Stabilizer Feet to bottom of Rail Track using M8 screws.
STEP 2
Slide Central Unit onto Rail Track.

INSTALLATION
Install Bumper Stops to Rail Track using M6x40 Screws.
Remove existing screw from last
hole at each end of the rail. Take
care not to loose track of the nut
in the slot of the extrusion. Do
not over-tighten screw, it will
bottom out in the extrusion.
STEP 4
Slide Cross Beam through the Central Unit.

STEP 5
Mount Torch Holder and Mount Motorized Torch Lifter to end of Cross Beam.
STEP 6
Connect Lift/Solenoid Cable and Power Cable
Connect Lift/Solenoid Cable
between the 4-Pin connector
on back of the Crossbow, and
the 4-Pin connector ad the
end of the Cross-Beam.

Skip this section if not installing oxy-fuel torch with the Crossbow.
Optional Oxy-Fuel Torch Assembly
Assemble and install Oxy-Fuel Torch
STEP 1
Insert oxy-fuel torch into torch
holder using Oxy-Fuel Torch
Adaptor. Connect center oxygen
hose (Cutting Oxygen) to the
output of the solenoid valve.
STEP 2
Connect Oxy-Fuel Supply Hoses.
Connect gas supply hoses to
regulated supply of oxygen and
fuel gas.

table or work ground.
Connect red wire to

Cable to the 6-Pin connector
on back of Crossbow.
Connect Plasma Interface
Cable to the 14-pin
connector on the back of
the plasma power source.

STEP 5
Connect electrical power and compressed air to your plasma power source as directed in the plasma power
source instruction manual.

Procedure for rst power-up of Crossbow.
Switch Drive Enable to OFF.
Make sure the E-Stop button is NOT pressed turn clockwise to ensure it is released.
First Power Up Sequence
If the CNC boots properly, the Main Menu
should appear as pictured below.
Switch Main Power
Switch to ON.
Switch Drive Enable to ON.
If the drives are enabled and holding the
machine still, then proceed with testing main
functions.

Procedure for initial functional test of Crossbow.
Testing Main Functions
Press [F2] MANUAL.
Use the four Jog/
Arrow Keys to test
the machine motion in
all four directions.
Use “S-Up” and “S-Down” keys
to test the raise/lower function
of the Torch Lifter.

Press [F4] SETUP.
Testing Oxy-Fuel Functions
Use number keypad to
change PLASMA / OXYFUEL parameter to “0”.
Press [F5] CONTROL.
Press [F7] SAVE to save changes.
Press [ESC] twice to return to Main
Menu.

Test the Cutting Oxygen Solenoid Valve using
the CUTOXY and OFF buttons:
Press [CUTOXY] key to
turn on Cutting Oxygen
Solenoid Valve.
Press [OFF] key to turn
off Cutting Oxygen Solenoid Valve.

Initial function test procedure for machines equipped
with plasma.
Press [F4] SETUP.
Testing Plasma Functions
Use number keypad to
change PLASMA / OXYFUEL parameter to “1”.
Press [F5] CONTROL.
Press [F7] SAVE to save changes.
Press [ESC] twice to return to Main
Menu.

Switch ON the plasma power source, pre-set
the Cutting Current to the appropriate setting
for the nozzle installed in the torch.
Press [PIERCE] key to initiate
a Plasma Start cycle.
After setting Initial Height, the plasma torch
should fire and pierce through the material.
Press [F2] MANUAL.
Move the torch over a piece of material that
is not well supported (will give way if pressed
down).
With the plasma power
source still OFF, press
[PIERCE] key to test the
Initial Height Sensing
function.
The torch should drive down, touch the plate,
and then retract to piercing height.
Press [OFF] key to cancel
the Plasma Start cycle.
After doing so, press
[OFF] key to cancel the
Plasma Start cycle.

The Crossbow is set to Metric when shipped. Follow this procedure to convert to Inch dimensions.
Convert from Metric to Inch
Press [F4] SETUP.
Speed parameters:
Use up and down arrow keys
to navigate the list.
Press [F1] SPEED to enter
Speed Parameters.
Use number key pad to change
parameter settings.

MAX MACHINING SPEED 120
RETURN HOME SPEED 100

SMALL HOLE SPEED 30
CORNER RADIUS 0.05
INSTALLATION
Press [F7] SAVE to save changes.
Failure to press save will result in
loss of any changes.
Press [F5] CONTROL to
enter Control Parameters.
Change the Metric / Inch parameter to 1 for
“Inch” mode.
METRIC 0/ INCH 1 1
Press [F7] SAVE to save changes.
Press [ESC] twice to return to Main
Menu.
