There are 2 sizes of the Hera II, both are described in this user instruction. Illustrations and description are used for both models, unless otherwise described. The Hera II/140 chair is designed for users with a maximum weight of 140 kg and Hera II Maxi/250 is designed for users with a maximum weight of 250 kg. The Hera II chair is designed as an aid for bathing and hygienic purpose in nursing and homecare. Never use the Hera II for any other purpose than originally intended.
Before using the Hera II please follow these instructions:
Personnel have received qualified instruction in using the Hera II. Ensure that any danger of squeezing or other hazard to the user or personnel has
been eliminated.
Hera II is intended for indoor use under normal temperatures (+20 – +40 C°) and
relative humidity (40-90%).
1.2 Safety instructions
This user instruction must be read thoroughly before the Hera II is taken into use.
All parts (accessories) must be mounted correctly. There must be no indication of wear and tear on the chair. NEVER use the Hera II if
there is suspicion of any defect (abnormal sound, loose brackets etc.) In such cases it is important to find the cause and to take the Hera II out of service and your dealer or Ergolet contacted.
The Hera II max capacity is 140 kg or for Hera II maxi 250 kg and must never be
exceeded. Always remember to take the user’s personal needs and conditions into account.

3 Use and adjustment
When the chair is going through corridors or over doorsteps (max. height 5 cm.) it is best to pull the chair, thus ensuring maximum stability. Ensure that the user keep his/her hands inside the armrest when going through doors and corridors. The user should sit calmly during this kind of movement.
3.1 Using the Hera II
The Hera II chair is normally used in the following situations:

2. When transporting the user to the bathroom
3. For other purposes such as a toileting chair in bathrooms/toilets and other suitable
places in the home.
3.2 Using the tilt function
The chair can be adjusted from +5° (forwards) to -30° (backwards).

3.3 Adjusting the Hera II
The chair should be adjusted to the individual user on delivery.
Setting the seat height:
Setting the seat height is carried out without tools, it is not meant to be used on a daily basis.

these so that they rest against the outer surface. The seat can now be raised until the desired height is reached.

The back support will automatically angle itself according to the pressure of the user. It can also be moved up or down to suit individual needs.
1) Loosen the screws on the brackets, placing the unit at the
correct height and tightening the screws again. (This does not apply to the fabric back).
Foot supports:
1) Remove the clips and adjust the foot support to the
required height.
2) If the foot supports can be angled, the support can be
pulled out to the required angle and will lock automatically.
3) By releasing the small (black) handle the foot support can
be lowered.
Neck support:
1) Use the hand screw to adjust height and angle.
Armrests:
1) The armrests can be raised to allow sideways transfer.
Note: Ensure that the user´s arms cannot be trapped or squeezed during this operation.
