Epson document scanners are powerful, but

technology, exclusively from Epson, that facilitates fast scanning speeds
with no warmup time. This earth-friendly LED technology featured on
various Epson scanners does not include mercury. And, it offers lower
power consumption.
Xenon cold cathode lamps, included on other Epson models, also offer fast scan
speeds. These ultra bright lamps enable the scanner to achieve optimum brightness
without any warmup time. The scanner is ready in an instant, so you don’t have to wait
to scan critical documents.
