The Cottage
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
IMPORTANT: Please be careful when removing the
face from the packaging as you may damage it.
1. The distance between the replace and the face
can be adjusted to compensate for added material
around the replace. Adjust depth if required; refer
to “ADJUSTING DEPTH OF FACE INSTRUCTIONS”.
2. Lift the face upright in front of the replace with the
two clips pointing towards the replace. Slide the
clips into the slots (see Figure 1). The clips should
make a ‘click’ sound when they are in place.
3. The face should be cleaned before the replace is
turned on for the rst time, refer to “CLEANING THE
FACE“.
REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNING: To avoid personal injury do not handle face when hot.
1. Press on the clip from the inside, as shown in the Figure 2. When both clips have been unlocked then pull the
face away from the replace.

ADJUSTING DEPTH OF FACE INSTRUCTIONS:
Depending on the nishing material surrounding the replace the distance the
face rests away from the replace may differ. The clip can be moved out to
compensate for extra material.
On the face there are four slots on each side (see Figure 3). To increase the
distance the face sits from the replace loosen the T-20 screws in each of the
slots and slide the clip out the desired distance. The clip can be moved out ³/8”
(9.5mm). When tightening the screws, measure their position in all eight slots.
They should all be in the same spot along the slots. The face will sit crooked if
the slots are not equal.
CLEANING THE FACE:
IMPORTANT: Never clean the face when it is hot.
Painted faces should be periodically wiped with a damp cloth.
If a plated face has been purchased, it is important to note that ngerprints and
other marks can leave a permanent stain on plated nishes. To avoid this, give
the face a quick wipe with denatured alcohol on a soft cloth BEFORE lighting
the replace. Do not use other cleaners as they may leave a residue, which can
become permanently etched into the surface.
