INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before commencing installation or maintenance, ensure electricity is switched off at the mains.
2. Select the required position for the luminaire ensuring the clearances shown in Fig.1 are observed. Beware of joists, water pipes and electric cables. Use the cut-out template on the inside lid of the box to cut a hole in the ceiling for the type of luminaire to be fitted. For IP65 luminaires, insure the contact area between the fitting and the contact surface is smoothed off. A suitable silicon sealant may be used between the gasket of the downlight housing and the mounting surface. Failure to do this may result in the IP65 rating not being maintained.
3. Connect the mains supply cable(s) to the terminal block . Ensure that there are no exposed conductors or trapped insulation. Conductor size: 1mm -
2.5mm. A maximum of 20 fittings may be connected to a 5-Amp circuit.
LIVE – (Red or Brown) to Terminal Marked L
NEUTRAL – (Black or Blue) to Terminal marked N
EARTH – (Green/Yellow) to Terminal marked e
4. The “looping-in” of the fixed wiring supply should be maintained.
5. Slide the legs of the mounting spring clips into the ceiling cut-out and push the luminaire up into the aperture. Ensure that it is securely located.
6. Ensure that the lamp is correctly located in the lampholder. Switch on the power supply.
