
The Enlighted Asset Tag is a small, battery-powered device which broadcasts information using Bluetoth
Low Energy (BLE) advertisements. The tag is designed to be attached to a wide variety of mobile assets. The
messages are received by the Enlighted Smart Sensors network and transmitted to the Where location
engine. The location of the asset within the facility can be monitored continuously using the Where
application.

Tag Activation
When the tag is shipped, it is in a deep sleep mode and must be activated before use. To activate the tag,
follow the activation sequence described below:
Press and release the button on the tag for a minimum of 15 times over a 10 second duration. The LED
blinks green for five seconds to confirm that the activation sequence has been detected and the tag is
ready.
Tag Registration
Each tag has a unique ID etched on the top in the form of a bar code. The Where application is used to
register the tag ID using a barcode reader. See Where User Guide (Doc. No: 93-01916-01) for more
information about tag registration.
Battery Life
The tag’s battery life is five years battery life with normal usage. Batteries are not replaceable for IP66
rated cases.
