FullSwitch Flow
Choose PDF Standardizer, then click the Finish button.
This Wizard will help you create and define a Standardized PDF workflow that meets your needs in a very simple way.
The Wizard will ask you simple questions, and depending on your answers, a flow corresponding to your needs will be automatically created for you.
Remember that you will always be able to find additional information and explanation about each possible answer in the Information field as shown below:
Question 1:
Where are your input files produced ?
PDF Standardizer Wizard will start.
If you know, please tick the origin of the PDF files you receive.
If you do not know tick “I don’t Know”
The answer to this question will determine Standard Input ICC Profiles for the flow. If you choose:
Europe: ECI/ISO12647 ICC relevant Profiles will be used. USA: IDEAlliance ICC relevant Profiles will be used. Everywhere: ECI/ISO12467 ICC Profiles will be used. If your PDF files originators use non standard RGB or CMYK profiles, you can choose Custom and select these profiles manually.

Question 2:
Are you processing...
PDF Standardizer allows you to set flows that are compliant with the latest Ghent PDF Workgroup 1v4 specifications.

PDF documents.
Question 4:
Where are you input files printed?
If you know, please tick the destination of the PDF files you produce.
If you do not know tick “I don’t Know”
The answer to this question will determine a Standard Output ICC Profile for the flow. If you choose:
Europe: ECI/ISO12647 ICC relevant Profiles will be used
USA: IDEAlliance ICC relevant Profiles will be used.
Question 3:
Would you like to use any embedded profile(s) and intent(s) ?
If you would like to use any ICC profile information embedded in a PDF file, tick Yes.
If not, please tick No.
If you are not sure, please tick “I don’t know”. PDF Standardizer will adapt and use the chosen Default Profiles.

I don’t know: ECI/ISO12467 relevant ICC Profiles will be used.
Question 5:
On which printing process are your files printed?
Please choose your output printing Process among the available options. If your output process is a digital press, a digital printer, or an analog press having a custom profile, please tick Digital / Custom.

Question 8:
What would you like to do?
Preflight: allows you to preflight your file to check if it has is any PDF or color compliancy problem. This option does not fix any encountered problem.
A preflight report is saved in the flow Report folder.
Standardize: allows you to preflight and fix most PDF and color compliancy problems that may be found. A preflight report is also saved in the flow Report folder with found errors, warnings and successful fixes,
Please choose your actual paper category.
If you are not sure, please tick “I don’t know”. The best category of paper for the output process will be selected.
A successfully Standardized and certified file will have no Errors left after Standardization.
Question 8-1:
Transparencies Management: (appears only if you choose Preflight in Q8)
Reject: PDF containing Transparent Objects will be put in Error Folder.
Allow: PDF containing Transparent Objects will be processed by the following flow steps (CMYK Optimizer and PitStop certification).

Standardize Output Separations (GCR):
Separations GCR will be harmonized to your desired option.
Both: This option will standardize all your files output TAC and GCR to your desired settings. This is a recommended option to avoid high ink density problems and to improve printability and stability on press as well.
I don’t know: If you are not sure, please tick “I don’t know”. Standard and secure TAC and GCR values will be used by the software.
Question 10-1:
