Product Information

You can charge and recharge AA and AAA* NiMH rechargeable
batteries with the PKcharge battery holder three ways: with the
PowerKeep™ portable solar panel, a USB charging port, or a wall outlet.

You can also use your PKcharge, with the batteries installed and
charged, to charge your USB device, such as a smartphone, when
you are on the go. Simply plug the smartphone into the output port
on the PKcharge and slide the switch on the back of the PKcharge

from ‘O’ to ‘Output’, and power will ow to your device.

How to Charge AA/AAA NiMH
Rechargeable Batteries with the
PKcharge:

Charge AA NiMH rechargeable batteries:

I). Open your PKcharge’s battery holder with “PUSH” button.

II). Insert two or four AA batteries into battery holder and
close case.

IV).Use the micro-USB cable to connect the PKcharge input to:

A. The PowerKeep portable solar panel
B. A USB charging port
C. The wall using the same wall transformer that came with

your device (i.e. smartphone)
V). The four (4) charging LED lights will light up to let you know
when the batteries are charging. The LED lights will stop blinking
and stay on when fully charged.
VI). To determine if your PKcharge is fully charged, turn on the
PKcharge and the four (4) LED lights will light up.
VII). The PKcharge requires you to Charge/Discharge batteries by
pair or four.

How to Use the Integrated Light

Important Notes

Slide the switch on the back of the PKcharge from ‘O’ to the

lightbulb icon to activate the light.

1. When the LED lights turn o, no charge remains. Recharge
the batteries before further use.

2. If the PKcharge detects that the output exceeds the limit

(1.0A), it will automatically power o. Unplug your device and

re-plug to resume output charge.

3. The PKcharge requires you to charge/discharge by pair

or four. To optimize eciency, keep like charge/discharge

batteries by pair or four when recharging or when using them
in external devices.

III). Slide the switch on the back of the PKcharge from ‘O’ to
‘Output’, and power will ow to your device.

IV). The four (4) charging LED lights will light up to let you know
when your device is charging. The LED lights will stop blinking and
stay on when fully charged.

Charge AAA* NiMH rechargeable batteries:

I). Gently lift the metal loops from location A to location B.
II). Insert the AAA batteries by pair or all four into the battery holder.
III). Lower the metal loops over the batteries, to location C.

How to charge your USB device, such as a smartphone,
with the PKcharge:

I). Insert charged batteries into the PKcharge battery holder.
II). Use the charging cable for your smartphone or USB device and
connect the device to the output port of the PKcharge.
