Introduction
Encore’s ENNPOE-I PoE Inj ector is a single -port Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) injector device. The
ENNPOE-I is designed for 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet network and supply power using a single
Ethernet cable. This equipment injects DC power and stream network data using CAT5, C AT5 e
and CAT6 Ethernet cable to any PoE compliant devices, increasing flexibility in using a PoE
enabled device to a non-PoE Ethernet switch.
Key Features
Complies with IEEE802.3at and IEEE 802.3af
1-port 10/100/1000Mbs (Data) for connection to the passive LAN device
1-port 10/100/1000Mbps (Power/Data) for connection to the PoE-PD devices
Automatic PoE/non-PoE device detection. Power output will be automatically turned off when
a non-PoE device is connected to the “PoE/Data” port to avoid device failure.
Compliant with FCC, CE Class B

Connection Diagram
Connect the ENNPOE-I PoE Injector as seen in the diagram below. A PoE compliant power device
VOIP phone in this example is added to an existing non-PoE network with a non-PoE Ethernet
switch.
1. Use Ethernet CAT 5, CAT 5e or CAT 6 with RJ45 connector to connect devices
2. The “Data” port receives Ethernet data from the non-PoE compliant switch.
3. The “PoE/Data” port divides data and power and injects data and power to the PoE compliant
PD device, in this sample diagram a VOIP Phone
