1. Hardware Installation
Select CDROM driver
To install the Combo card, follow this procedure:
1. Make sure the computer is turned off;
2. Gain access to the interior of the PC;
3. Insert the Combo card in an empty PCI slot;
4. Press the card gently but firmly into the slot and check to see that all
contacts are fully seated in the connector.;
5. Attach the bracket screws that secure the card to the chassis;
6. Reinstall the covers on the PC.
2. SATA Installation driver
Windows 98/98SE ,Windows ME,Windows NT 4.0, Windows XP
1. Start Windows
2. The “Update Device Driver Wizard” will appear, informing you that it has
found a “PCI RAID Controller”, click the “Next” button.
3. Insert the Driver CD in the CDROM drive and click on the “Browse”
Select folder “SATA\VIARAID\driver”
a) Windows 98/98SE or Windows ME user - Select folder “win9x”
b) Windows NT 4.0 user - Select folder “winnt40”
c) Windows XP user - Select folder “winxp”
5. Click the “Next” button.
6. Follow the instructions to finish up the driver installation.
3. USB Driver Installation (Windows XP)
1. Place the Driver CD into the CD-Rom driver. Click the Start button on the
taskbar and click Run. Type “D:\Usb\Setup.exe”. (assuming you have
placed the CD in CD-RM driver labeled as D);
2. Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the software inatallation;
3. Restart your system;
4. Onec you have rebooted the computer, this Combo card is ready to be used.
