TO REMOTE START THE VEHICLE:
Press button Twice on the transmitter.
The parking light will activate to indicate the rem ote start received the signal.
The engine will start in approximately 5 seconds.
Once the engine is running, after couple seconds the parking lights will turn on
and the climate controls will activate and adjust the vehicle’s interior temperature to your preset setting.
The vehicle will run for a programmable 5 to 30 m inute cycle before shutting down.
NOTE: The Remote Start Unit will not start the vehicle if any one of the following conditions exists:
1. The hood is opened.
2. The brake pedal is pressed.
3. The optional remote start enable toggle is switched to the “OFF” pos ition. (If installed)
4. The gear selector is in any gear other then “PARK” or “NEUTRAL”.
SAFE START (Child safety mode) Factory default is set to press the button Twice on the trans mitter to start the vehicle. This feature to eliminate an accidental remote start:
1. The user presses the transmitter buttons twice within 3 seconds to start the vehicle.
NOTE: Contact your installing dealer to de-activate this feature for one push start
OPERATE THE VEHICLE WHILE RUNNING FROM THE REMOTE START:
To operate the vehicle while the engine is running fro m the remote start,
Insert the ignition key and turn it to “ON” (not the star t) position.
Press the brake pedal.
Note: If the brake pedal is pressed before the key is in the ON position, the engine will shut down.
TEMPORARY STOP FEATURE:
This feature allows the veh icle to remain running after the key has been removed from the ignition. This feature is useful for occasions when you wish to exit and lock the vehicle for short periods of time, but would like to leave the m otor running and the climate control on.
Before turning off the engine, press the button twice on the transmitter and the LED indicator will flash 3 times to confirm enter.
Turn the ignition key to OFF position. (The engine will stay runni ng.)
The engine will run until the pre-programm ed time elapsed or s hutdown input is
received.
TO TURN OFF THE REMOTE START:
When the engine is running (by remote start), if you want to stop it,
Press button twice on the remote transmitter under the rem ote start mode.
Press this button once if the unit is programmed f or one push start.
Press the brake pedal
The vehicle will shut down and turn off the park ing light to indicate the engine has stopped.
SHUT-DOWN INPUT FOR REMOTE STARTER:
If any of the following conditions exist while the system is operating, the engine will not start or will shut down immediately:
1. The hood is opened.
2. The brake pedal is pressed.
3. The parking (hand) brake is released (For T urbo Timer Mode)
4. Engine is over-revved. {“Tachometer checking t ype” only}
5. The pre-programmed run time (5 /10 / 20 / 30 min utes) has elapsed.
6. Press button on the remote transmitter under remo te start mode.
7. The vehicle refused to start running after {3} uns uccessful attempts.

( U.S. ,Continental U.S. and Canada Only)
1. Encore Automotive Systems LLC. WARRANTS that this new unit has been thoroughly inspected and tested at the factory prior t o delivery. Your Encore equipment is guaranteed for “life” to the original purcha ser/user of the equipment and the original vehicle in which it was install ed by an authorized installer under the following conditions: If the produ ct proves defective (according to Encore’s testing) within the first year, the d efective unit may be exchanged or repaired free of charge. “Proof of Purcha se” (dated sales receipt) must accompany all warranty returns; otherwise, your re turn will be rejected and sent back. After one (1) year, the purchaser should shi p the unit prepaid to Encore with a money order in the amount of $30.00 to co ver shipping and handling charges. 2. Exclusion to the Limited Lifetime Warranty Provision: All t wo-way LCD and two­way OLED remote transceivers are excluded from the Li mited Lifetime Warranty noted in paragraph no.1. All two-way LCD and two-way OLED remote transceivers are guaranteed to the original purchaser for a period of one year from date of purchase. If the product proves to be def ective within the first year, the defective unit may be exchanged or repaired free of charge. All other provisions stated on this card apply.
3. This WARRANTY will be considered void if the equipment h as been misused, neglected, improperly serviced or installed, altered, drop ped or damaged by water, contrary to the Encore OPERATIONS MANUAL. Or, if used with accessories not approved by Encore, which may have contri buted to the defect. See note below regarding product installation**.
4. The purchaser’s remedies under this WARRANTY shall be li mited to the repair or replacement of electronic components only. THE FOLLOW ING IS NOT COVERED: Damages or deterioration to cases, batteries, covers and cabinets; the cost of repairs, replacement and labor of wh ich shall be borne by the purchaser even if occurring during the WARRANTY period.
5. Any equipment or parts which are claimed to be defecti ve under this WARRANTY must be sent to the Encore Service center with “proof of purchase” at the purchaser’s expense prior to such return, a Retu rn Authorization Number needs to be obtained. Encore will return the equipment , charges prepaid. Warranty Service can be provided through the dealer where the equipment is originally purchased.
6. Any unexpired WARRANTY shall be applicable to equip ment and parts in the possession of the original purchaser only.
7. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRA NTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRA NTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOS E.
8. Encore shall not be liable, under the foregoing WARR ANTIES or otherwise, for: Any personal injury or property damage of any kind to the purchaser or property, its employees or agents or anyone else whom soever resulting directly or indirectly from the use or presence of the equipment or parts; Consequential damages of any kind; any inability of the purchaser to use th e equipment.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: Any damages resu lting from an installation performed by anyone other than a professiona l installation technician authorized by Encore will void the product’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

The units default is safety start. This requires the user to push the start button twice to remote start the vehicle and prevent accidental starts. The unit can be programmed to start on one push of the start button. Programming required.

Valet Mode
OPTIONAL: E2s Ultra Miniature Remote
This optional remote can be used in applications where the factory Keyless entry system is the main source for locking and unlocking the vehicle. For example, vehicles with the factory smart key/ “push button” start or one-piece remote with key, an

Ultra Miniature remote may be purchased for remote start and unlock only applications. This ultra-small remote may be preferred if your factory remote is integrated within your key.
PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS:
Note: This mode will only retain the last 4 remote transmitters programmed. If the transmitter memory is exceeded, the security system will start deleting transmitters from memory in chronological order.
1. Turn the Ignition 'switch ‘OFF/ON’ 4 TIMES and stay in ON position. “Within 15 seconds”.
2. Push the Valet switch 4 times and hold it on the 4th push until a long chirp is heard then release the valet switch. You are now in the Transmitter programming mode.
3. Press and hold a ny button of the transmitter until the siren responds with a confirming chirp, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.
4. If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step 3 for each transmitter.
Exit: Turn Ignition to 'OFF' position, or leave it for 15 seconds. 3 long chirps & 3 parking light flashes
will confirm exit.

BATTERY CHANGING:
Depending on the usag e, the remote batter ies should be changed at least
once a year.
The 1-way remote, (E-7s) is powered by a pair of 3V, CR20 16 batteries. These batteri es are available at most locations batteries are sold and can be replaced by the user.

INGS:
As with any product that performs automatic func tions, there are certain safety precautions that you must practice and be aware of.
Keep the transmitter out of children’s reach.
Do not leave anyone in the vehicle while running on rem ote control.
Alert servicing personnel that the vehicle can be started autom atically.
Do not start the vehicle by remote while it’s in an enclosed area or garage.
Always apply the parking brake and lock the vehicle as you exit the vehicle.
The vehicle windows must be rolled up.
Should the unit malfunction, disconnect the fuse until the probl em is corrected.
The use and operations of this system is the sole responsibilit y of the operator.
Some areas may have local ordinances that prohibit leaving a vehicle running on public
streets.

ACTIVE LOCK:
1. Press button on the transmitter.
2. The horn, if installed will chirp once an d parking lights will flash once indicating that the system is now acti ve. The vehicl e doors will lock upon activating when interfaced with the keyless entr y system.
ACTIVE UNLOCK:
1. Press butt on on the transmitter.
2. T he horn will chirp twice and parking light will flash twice to indicating that
the keyless system is now unlocked. The vehicle doors will unlock.
DEACTIVATING WITHOUT A TRANSMITTER
The Override function may be used if the remote transmitter is lost or inoperative.
1. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to ‘ON’ position.
2. W ithin 10 seconds push and release the valet switch
VALET MODE:
The valet switc h allo ws you to temporaril y by-pass all system function, eliminating the need to hand your transmitter to parking attendants or garage mechanics. When the system is in valet mode, and remote start functions are bypassed, Enter Valet Mode:
1. Under Unlock condition, turn the ignition to “ON” p osition.
2. Press and hold valet switch for 2 seconds until the LED turns on. The LED
will remain on as long as the system is in ‘valet m ode’.
Exit Valet Mode:
1. Return to normal operation, turn ignition ‘on’.
2. Press and hold valet switch for 2 seconds, The LED will turn off
Indicating that the system has exited the valet m ode.
IGNITION CONTROL DOOR LOCKS.
If the vehicle’s door locks have been interfaced to the security system, the system will automatically lock the vehicle’s doors when the ignition is turned “ON” and /or unlock the vehicle’s doors when the igniti on is turned “OFF”.
TRUNK RELEASE (Additional Installation Required )
Press and ho ld the button on transmitter for 3 sec onds to activate the trunk release or other electric devices.
PANIC FUNCTION:
The transmitter can be used as a remote panic switch to manually trigger the system in case of emergency.
1. Press and hold the button for 3 second. The unit will immediately sound.
2. During panic mode, the normal function of this transmitter button will be disabled.
The transmitter and buttons can be used to lock and unlock the door (if the option is installed).
3. To stop the alarm, press and hold the transmitter button on the transmi tter again for
3 seconds.

4. If the button is not pressed, the system will stop after 30 seconds.
