ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Rack Assembly
1) If your rack is plated it is best to keep the tissue on during installation to avoid fingerprinting.
2) Locate the four small holes on the long sides of the rectangular base. The rivets, which will support the grid, fit into them. Insert the four flat head rivets into the small holes closest to the corners of the rectangular base so they protrude into the rack’s interior.
3) Insert the four round head rivets into the small holes in the center of the long sides, again so they protrude toward the interior of the rectangular base. Looking at each long side, the rivets should be in this order, flathead, roundhead, roundhead, flathead.
4) When you are sure of the order, slide a push nut onto the stem of each rivet and push it toward the rack body so the rivets are locked into place.
5) Notice that the rivets are positioned closer to one edge of the steel width than the other. Turn the rectangular base so they are closets to the bottom. This will allow the grid to seat deeply into the rectangular framework, forming a wide lip around the grid.
6) Place the grid into the rectangle.
7) Position the four remaining brackets in front of the four remaining holes, with the rolls down. Using the four button head screws and the Allen wrench, attach the hanging brackets to the outside of the rectangular base. Straighten the brackets and tighten the screws.
8) We recommend that you anchor your rack into the solid wood of ceiling joists or beams. Carefully measure the area where the rack is to be hung and install the ceiling screw hooks directly into the wood joists. If it is not convenient to hang your rack directly into wood joists you may use the new-technology DRYWALL anchors enclosed with your rack. The steel anchors are very strong and when installed in drywall will hold 200 lbs. each. Two anchors hold about 400 lbs. Follow the instructions in the Toggler kit.
9) Distribute the weight of your cookware evenly around the rack.
WARNING: It is important that your ceiling rack is assembled correctly. If the unit is assembled or used incorrectly, it could become unstable and collapse, possibly causing injury.
