This CD player is mounted on a round base and has momentary, latch, and timer input functions, and a Track Advance function. In the timer mode, the CD will play for a preset amount of time (1-120 seconds). Use any two capability switches to activate these functions and enjoy the music. Ear buds included. Size: 6"D x 2 1/2"H. Requires 2 Capabilities Switches and 2 AA Batteries.
Operation:
1. The CD Walkman requires 2 “AA” batteries (Not included) to operate. Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together. Open the CD compartment by sliding the “OPEN” button located on the front portion of the unit. (Please Note: when sliding cover, do so gently. If done forcefully cover will be damaged) Once “OPEN” locate the battery compartment. Push tab in on battery cover and lift cover off. Install 2 AA batteries making sure to follow proper (+) & (-) battery polarity. Replace cover.
2. Insert your CD, label side up, over the center hub of the disc and gently press the center of the CD until it snaps down. Gently close the compartment door.
3. Plug your Headphones into the jack marked “PHONES”. Adjust the VOLUME to an audible level.
4. Turn the CD player ON through the ON/OFF switch located under the base. Please Note: The switch has 3 positions; you must move it all the way to the Left to turn ON. Next set the play options to Momentary, Timed or Latch. (Please see the overview of these setting on the back page of this User’s Guide). When finished using make sure to turn the unit OFF to prevent battery drain.
5. There are two adapted switch input jacks located on the base. The jack labeled MOM/TIME/LATCH will start and Pause the CD in a momentary, timed or latch setting. (Female jacks accept 1/8"plugs only). The second jack labeled TRACK/ADVANCE will give the user the ability to advance and fast forward through the tracks on a CD. (Please Note: When using
TRACK ADVANCE set your volume to the desired level before plugging in your switch. If not you will not have control of the volume while the switch is plugged into the TRACK ADVANCE jack).
6. Connect any external capability switch via the 1/8" jacks. If you need to use
a ¼ " to 1/8" adapter for your switch, it must be a mono adapter, not stereo. Make sure that the connections between the external capability switch and the adapter (if applicable) and the jack are tight, there should be no gaps.
7. When the Capability Switch you have chosen is activated the CD player will turn ON. It will then display the number of tracks that your CD has on it, then the CD will start to play the first track. Press the switch again to Pause the track.
8. Please refer the manufactures instructions for information on the CD Walkman’s Additional functions and features.
Important Notes: Remove the batteries when you do not plan to use the unit for a month
or more.
Due to switch adaptation the use of an AC power cord has been disabled for
