INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
MODELS: DF20GBL-2, DF28GBL-1
FOR USE WITH VENT FREE FIREPLACE INSERTS
INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE LEFT WITH THE OWNER FOR FUTURE REFERENCE AFTER INSTALLATION
Assembling the Glass Front
1. Place glass front on a soft surface, such as carpet, with screen
print facing up (smooth, glass side down).
2. Lift each corner up and place the cap and rubber washer into
the hole in the glass. See Figure 1.
Assembling the Trim to the Fireplace
1. Once the replace is installed, use the included trim to cover
the screw heads. Attach the trim to the replace using two (2)
#8-15 screws. Repeat on the opposite side.
Caution: Do not to over tighten the screws. See Figure 3.

3. Lay gasket material on the glass aligning the holes with the
holes in the glass.
4. Place the right and left glass brackets on the glass with the
mounting anges to the outside. Attach the #10-24 screw to
the cap. Repeat on the bottom hole. Repeat on the opposite
side. See Figure 1.
5. Tighten the screw into the cap. Caution: Do not over tight-
en.
6. Attach the two (2) glass front top brackets to the top of
the glass brackets with six (6) #8-15 screws as shown in
Figure 2.

2. To install the top trim, loosen the two (2) hex head screws
with a wrench. The screws are located on the top of the outer
wrapper. Slide the top trim in place and tighten the screws.

Attaching the Hood to the Upper Bafe
1. Attach the hood to the upper bafe located above the rebox
with three (3) #10-24 screws. See Figure 5.
Installing the Glass Front
1. Before installing the glass front. Install the bottom shield on
the rebox bottom. The bottom shield can be raised to access
the burner controls. See Figure 5.
2. Light the burner by following the lighting instructions located
in the Installation Instructions. Using the remote switch, turn
the burner off but leave the pilot on.
3. Install the glass front by inserting the tabs on the side brack-
ets into the slots on the replace. Make certain the tabs are
securely inside the slots to prevent the glass from becoming
disengaged and falling. See Figure 6. Lift the bottom shield
and switch the burner control to the ON position (or Remote if
using an optional remote).
