Low BaCk CondUCtive wrap

Dear Patient:

Your EasyWear™ Conductive Wrap low back garment provides
easy placement of electrodes on hard-to-reach areas of your
back, particularly when assistance is not available. Along with
your prescribed TENS unit, your wrap will help you manage your
lower back pain.

Easy Steps to Get Started

Remove jewelry from area that will be covered by Empi EasyWear
Low Back Wrap.

Clean skin thoroughly with soap and water.

Place Empi EasyWear Low Back Conductive Wrap on flat surface.

Lightly mist each of the conductive electrode pads with the
conductive spray (3-4 sprays) and run your finger over the pad to
evenly coat the silver fabric. Do not submerge the conductive

pad in water or in disinfecting chemicals.

Insert lead wire pins into the conductive garment electrodes.

Place conductive garment electrodes, with wires facing outward, in
desired location on low back wrap.

Place wrap on lower back area with electrode conductive pads
flush against skin.

Adjust wrap to fit snugly around low back.

Product Information

In general, electrical stimulation should be used in the management
of specific conditions only under medical supervision.

Read, understand and practice the precautionary and operating instructions
found in this manual. Observe any and all precautionary and operational decals
placed on the unit.

Maintenance

Check the Conductive Wrap before each use
for signs of wear and/or damage. Replace

electrodes and lead wires as required.

Cleaning

Cleaning the Conductive Wrap – Use a damp cloth moistened with mild soap

and water to clean the exterior of the device. Use of other cleaning solutions
may damage the wrap. Never immerse the wrap in water or other liquids.
Do not use cleaning fluids or solvents to remove stains or dirt. These liquids
may damage the wrap.

Cleaning the Lead Wires – Periodically wipe the lead wires clean with a cloth
dampened with a mild soap solution, then gently wipe them dry. Use of rubbing
alcohol on the lead wires will damage the insulation and dramatically shorten
their life.

Cleaning the Electrodes – Washing should be done by hand with a mild
detergent and air dried. Never place in a drying machine and do not use bleach.

Warnings and Cautions

Flammable – Do not use this device in an environment in which flammable

or explosive fumes may exist.

Cables and connectors – Inspect cables and connectors before each use.

Damage from liquids – Do not immerse this device in water or other

liquids. Water or liquids could cause malfunction of internal components of
the system, causing a risk of injury to the patient.

External use – This device is for external use only.

Back support – Not intended for use as a back support.

Use while sleeping – Low Back Conductive Wrap should not be used while

sleeping or napping because the lead wires or the electrodes may become
disconnected.

Skin problems – Do not use Conductive Wrap over infected areas, skin
eruptions, or areas of decreased sensation.

EasyWear Low Back Conductive Wrap should only be used
with TENS units prescribed by a physician.

Machinery operation - Patients should never operate
potentially dangerous machinery such as power saws,

automobiles, etc., during electrical stimulation.

Do not insert lead wires into 110/220 volt outlet.

The EasyWear wrap is intended for single-patient use only. Do
not share the wrap with other persons because of the risks of
adverse skin reactions and disease transmission.

90 Day Warranty

Empi will repair or replace, at its facility, any product found to be
defective. This warranty does not apply to any product damaged by
misuse, or repaired or altered by anyone other than Empi, 205 Hwy
22 East, Clear Lake, SD.

This warranty is in lieu of any or all other warranties expressed or
implied. No person is authorized to bind Empi to any representative of
warranty other than those specifically set forth herein.
NOTE: Warranty period begins with the date of purchase from
manufacturer.
