2. Getting started
Insert SIM card and battery

6. Put the back cover on the phone. First, arrange the cover on the phone, than press the lower part of the cover, until it
locks.
Notice:
SIM cards can be easily damaged by scratches! Protect their contacts from scratching. Do not bend the cards.

Charging the battery
1. First charging cycle may last up to 4 hours.
2. Open the cover of the mini USB connector and connect the charger.
3. The phone can be charged while switched on or switched off.
4. Unplug the charger, when fully charged.
Insert microSD card
This device supports microSD cards. You will find the slot for microSD card in the lower part of the phone, near the SIM card
slots. 1. Open the holder of slot for memory cards.
2. Insert the memory card with the legend face up and close the holder.
The holder is protected by a mechanical lock. To loosen the lock, slide the cover up. To lock, slide the cover down.

4. Basic functions
Your mobile phone supports both GSM and W-CDMA networks. You can make voice calls from both SIM cards, video calls
only from SIM-1 card.
Switch the device on and off
To switch the device on, press the Power key and hold it for approximately 3 seconds.
PIN and PUK codes
PIN and PIN2 codes protect your SIM card against misuse. If the PIN is entered incorrectly three times, the SIM card is
locked and it is required to enter the PUK code or PUK2 code. If they are also entered incorrectly ten times, the SIM card is
locked forever. All codes are in the documents for your SIM card.
Making a call
Enter the phone number on the keypad and select a SIM card by pressing [W-CDMA key] or [GSM key].
Fast dial
Up to 8 phone numbers can be saved in the list of fast dials. They are assigned to the number keys [2-9]. By pressing and
holding one of this number keys, a number assigned to this key will be dialed from the primary SIM card (can be set).
Speed choice
If you know the position of a phone number in the phone or on the SIM card, you can find it directly on the standby screen.
Enter the number position of the contact on the standby screen and press “*“ to find the phone number in the phone or “##“,
or “#*“ to find the phone number on the SIM card.

Call log
Your phone can save a review of the 20 last dialed, received and missed calls. To display the call log, press [W-CDMA key]
or [GSM key] keys.
International calls
Press and hold the 0 key until the „+“character is displayed. Enter then a country calling code without first two zeros followed
by the prefix of the region and the phone number.
Pause
To enter a pause in the dialed number, e.g. because of voice navigation system, press and hold the „#“ key until the letter „P“
is displayed.
Emergency call
You can dial the emergency call number 112 even if, the phone or SIM cards are locked or the cards are missing.
Incoming calls
During the incoming call, the phone indicates the SIM card from which the call is coming from. You can answer, reject or
ignor a call. To answer a call, press one of following keys: [LS], [W-CDMA key], [GSM key]. To stop the ringing or vibrating ,
press [OK]. To reject a call, press [RS]. If you set the option to answer the call with any key, you can answer the call with
any key except [RS], [OK] and Power key.
While calling
While calling, press [LS] to display the list of available functions.
Hold a call – press [LS] and select „Hold“. Press again [LS] to select the phone number from the address book, or enter a
new number. As soon as you have another call, switch between both by pressing [LS].
Mute – press [LS] and select „Mute“ to switch off the microphone. To switch on the microphone, press [LS] and select
Unmute“.

Switch Bluetooth on – While calling, press [LS] and select „Enable Bluetooth“ to search for a compatible Bluetooth
headset.
Conference call
The phone allows to call up to 5 people at the same time.
1. Dial the first phone number
2. Press [LS] and select „Phone Book“ or „New call“ to select next phone number.
3. Enter the phone number and select „Call“. In this way the first called person joins the conference.
4. To add other participants, repeat steps 2 and 3. Note: This function depends on the network provider.
Private conversation during the conference
1. During the conference, press [LS] and select „Conference list“.
2. Select one or more participants that you want to talk privately to.
3. Press [LS] and select „Split call“. Unselected participants can still talk to each other.
4. Press [LS] and select „Conference“ to come back to the conference call.
5. To release a participant, press [LS] and select „Conference list“. Select the contact and press „End“.
Video call
During the video call (available only on SIM-1 card and supported networks), press [LS] to enter the video call menu . With
Front camera“ and „Rear camera“ select the camera that the video will be sent from. With the item „Screen mode“ you can
zoom in or out your picture on the screen.
Videos
Use to play video files or sent files via Bluetooth or via MMS. Here,you can also move videos between the

phone and the memory card. 3GP and MP4 are supported formats.
Use to operate with sound files as in the case of video files. The phone supports AMR, SMF (MIDI), SMAF,
WAV, AAC, MP3, WMA, QCP and MMF formats.
The phone can work with pictures in JPEG, GIF, WBMP, BMP and PNG formats up to a maximum size of
1600×1200 pixels. 100 pictures in the case of GIF files.

5. Standby screen and main menu
A lot of important information is displayed on the standby screen, e.g. missed calls, new messages, alarm clock and, to do
list. The screen of the main menu allows to enter all functions of the phone. Items are shown as a grid or a list. To enter the menu
from the standby screen, press [OK]. To select particular items, use cursor keys or keys [0-9], * and #.

Use to manage your files as pictures, video, music and other applications saved in the phone or in the memory card.

The phone book contains contacts saved in the phone and on both SIM cards. In addition to the existing phone numbers and
names, other phone numbers, e-mail addresses and photographs can be saved in the phone. You can dial numbers, send
SMS, MMS and e-mails directly from the phone book or move contacts between SIM cards and the phone. Predictive writing
enables to search in the phone book. To search for the name „Petr“, press only 7,3,8,7 instead of keys 7,3,3,8,7,7,7. To show detailed information about a contact, press [OK]. To dial the number via SIM-1, press [W-CDMA key], or to dial the
number via SIM-2, press [GSM key]. The phone enables you to save up to 1000 contacts with 3 000 phone numbers and 2 000 e-mail addresses. You can search
in these contacts by names, numbers or groups.
Log
Log allows to browse through information about calls and data transfers. You can view the list of 20 last missed, received and
dialed calls, the length of dialed and received calls, and the number of sent and received data in kilobytes.
Entertainment
The mobile operator provides you with this number.
Service centre – to set up the number of a centre which is responsible for sending SMS from SIM-1 and SIM-2.
Expiry period – to set up a time to delete an SMS that was sent, but undelievered.
Delivery reports – if activated, you receive messages confirming the delivery of SMS‘s you have sent.
Storage type – to set up, whether SMS messages will be saved on the SIM card or in the phone.

Broadcast – to set up, if so-called Reports from mobile operator network areas shall be activated.
Message
It is possible to create and read SMS, MMS and e-mail messages in this menu. To create an SMS, select in the menu „Message /SMS/ New“, enter the phone number of the receiver or find him in the
phone book with the [LS] key. By pressing the [Down] key, go to the text field for the content of the message and press [OK]
to open the text editor. After writing a message, press [OK] to return to the previous screen. To send the message, press
[OK] and select „Send via SIM-1“ or „Send via SIM-2“. To send the message to more receivers at once, separate the particular numbers with a semicolon (;).
All received messages are saved in the folder „Inbox“. When a message is received, the phone announces it and a number
of unread messages displays on the standby screen. You can answer from the menu to the received message or forward it to
someone else.
Unfinished messages or messages which have not been sent are saved in the folder „Drafts“, where it can be edited and
sent. Sent messages are in the folder „Sent“. If the sending of a message failed, it will be saved in the folder „Outbox“. The
message here can be read, edited, deleted and resent. Voice mail
The voice mail allows the calling person to leave a message in your absence. The phone displays an icon that you have a
new voice message. Contact your operator to know the number of the voice mail. Settings
MMS messages

MMS messages allow to receive and send multimedia messages with pictures, audio and video files. Before using this
function, set the internet acces via GPRS. Operating with MMS messages is very similar to SMS messages.
E-mails
E-mails operate in the same way. Messages with attachments can be sent, but only from SIM-1 and after configuration of
data connection and e-mail server. Settings
To set user´s information (name, e-mail address, reply-to address, user ID, password, SMTP user ID and password),
connection (POP3/SMTP server address and port, use SSL/TLS, incoming server type),and message preference (max. size,
leave copy on server POP3, signature, ...). To operate with e-mails, you can use many accounts, but only one can be active.
Video call
In this menu, a video call can be started or parameters for future video calls can be set. In settings, you can change image
quality (better or more fluent image), colour mode (colour, sepia, black&white), video settings (send live video or videoclip)
and automatic sound volume switch.
Flexaret Camera
Your phone contains an integrated digital camera for taking pictures and recording videos. Videos are saved in the folder
Videos“ and photographs in the folder „Pictures“, which you find in My Files. Both pictures and videos can be sent in MMS
or as an attachement with an e-mail. The camera records video in 3GP format and saves photograhs in JPEG format.
The camera can be activated through this item in the menu or by pressing the [Camera] key. LCD display serves as a viewfinder of the camera. Hold the phone in a horizontal position with the [Camera] key up. To
change brightness, use [Up] and [Down] keys. To take photograph of a scene, press [OK]. By pressing [LS], enter to
settings. In Settings, you can define, which camera will take photographs, photo size, image quality, white balance, colour effects,
night mode, shooting mode and also switch between camera and video mode.

After taking a photograph of a scene, you can immediately save it to the folder „Pictures“ in My Files, delete it or send via
Bluetooth or MMS. Video recording
Press [Camera] key, than [LS] key and select „Video“ in the menu. Zoom with [Left] and [Right] key, edit brightness with
[Up] and [Down] key. To record a video, press [OK] or [Camera]. The phone announces the beginning of a recording with a
sound signal. To stop and restore recording, press [LS] key. To finish recording, press [OK]. In camera settings, you can change the camera which will shoot, video size, video quality, white balance and switch to
photograph shooting mode.
Organizer
Organizer contains three other functions: Clock alarm, Schedule, Calculator, Notes, To-Do and Currency exchange.
Clock alarm enables you to set up to three alarms without repeat or with everyday, or weekly repeat. Active Clock alarm is
displayed on the standby screen.
When the Clock alarm rings, press [RS] to switch it off or [LS] to snooze some minutes more. The Clock alarm rings
although the phone is switched off. In Schedule, you can save information about meetings, reminders and another important events. It is possible to set
reminders for these events. Enter a new event
1. Find the required date via Organizer > Schedule > [LS] > New
2. Fill in date, time, alert time, note and select the alarm type. You can also select Repeat of the event. Do not forget to
activate the alarm with Alarm > ON.
Calculator
This calculator is designed for basic calculations and can add, substract, multiply and divide.

Press [*] for decimal point, with [#] key switch between +/-, to display results, press [OK] and to write brackets ( a ), use [W-
CDMA key] and [GSM key].
Notes
You can write in your phone simple text files as notes. Write a note and press [OK] to save it.
To-Do
You can set tasks which you have to do. You can assign to every task a beginning and an end time, set the priority or the
alarm to Remind.
World clock
To view the time in particular cities around the world.
Currency exchange
The phone contains a simple currency converter for converting values from one currency into another.

You can customise the phone exactly according to your wishes. Go to the main menu, than Settings and press [OK].
Phone
Phone profiles
Each SIM card can have different profiles. Default profile is „Normal mode“. To activate the pre-defined profile, press [OK],
select SIM-1 or SIM-2, than select required profile and press again [OK] to activate. Profiles can be independently
customised for both cards according to your needs. Primary SIM
Here, you can set which SIM card will be used as the primary card. Select the required card and press [OK]. The primary
SIM card will be used for WAP, internet connection and fast dial. Display
To set the background of the standby screen, welcome note, themes and menu styles. A text or logo can be selected as a
welcome note which displays when you switch the phone on. The welcome note can also be switched off. Power saving

Connectivity
Bluetooth
Bluetooth technology allows electronic devices (mobile phones, PDA and accessories) to make a wireless connection using
radio signals and exchange data. In this way, you can connect the phone to any Bluetooth device within 10 meters. When
required data is exchanged and the connection is interrupted. In contrast to the infrared interface, Bluetooth devices do not
need to be in adirect line of-sight. Bluetooth technology increases the total power consumption of battery and decreases its
runtime. Select in the main menu Connectivity, then Bluetooth and press [OK]. The list of Bluetooth settings displays. Find below its
description.
To pair with another device, select the menu „Paired Devices“ and than „Search for Device“. Select the found device which
you want to pair with and press [OK]. You will be prompted to enter the password. Enter max. 16-digit numbers and enter the
same password to the paired phone. The device will be added to the list of paired devices. When the connection is established you can start or send data as images, videos, music, documents, contacts, etc. To send
the data via Bluetooth, select the item which you want to send, press [LS], select „Send“ and than „Send via Bluetooth“. The
phone displays a list of available devices. Select the device which you want to send the data to. If it is not paired with the
phone, you will be prompted to enter the pairing password. When the devices are paired, the data will be send and a
message shows on the display. If the phone receives a request to receive the data via Bluetooth, it asks you to receive the data. If yes, the data will be saved
and you can find them in My Files.

You can connect the phone to a computer and use tools on the installation CD to synchronize calender, contacts and e-mails
with your computer, to install new applications into the phone, copy files from the device and into the device and back up files
and information from the phone into the computer. Before connecting the phone to the computer, install the supplied
software. While installing, follow the installer instructions. After installing the software, you can connect the phone to the
computer. In the phone, select in the menu „Connectivity“ and the item „PC synchronization“. Appearing is „Waiting for
connection with PC...“. Now you can start the synchronization software in the computer. USB data cable
You can use the USB data cable to physically connect the phone and the computer. In the normal mode, you can
synchronize data, transfer data to and from the phone with the supplied software or use the phone as a hardware modem for
your computer. In USB disk mode, you can use the memory card in the phone as a usual Flash disk.
Internet
Before connecting to the Internet, set the following:
Contact your network operator to know the specification for WAP service provided by him. Check the availability of the
service, its price and instructions given by the operator.
Notice: Use only services in which you trust in. To activate WAP on the standby screen, press [OK], in the menu find Internet and press [OK] to confirm the access to WAP.
You can change in Settings layout properties, security settings, view certificates, delete temporary certificates and edit
internet profiles.
SIM Toolkit
Your network operator could place on the SIM card other „mini applications“ as a supplement to applications in the phone. To
access them, use this menu. Before using them, verify if they are not charged.

6. Accessories
Charger and Li-Ion battery
The charging time depnds on the battery capacity. Use only original chargers and batteries. Use of non-original batteries
and chargers or other non-original accessories can cause defects which will be not admitted in the warranty period.
USB data cable
Enables to synchronize data and communication between the phone and a computer.
Headset
Has send/end key. You can use the key to answer or finish the call.
CD
On the CD, you find the software for phone backup, drivers, manuals and other information.
Set the backlight brightness to lower intensity.
