Installation Instructions - Kit # 1435-12

ES5TS Replacement of External Coil Water Pump (P/N 1423-01)
with Sealed Coil Water Pump (P/N 8452-49)

CAUTION: Read and understand this service bulletin thoroughly before starting. Only
a trained, experienced service technician should attempt this service procedure.

Kit - 1435-12 -for the ES5TS contains:

1 Water hose with orifi ce 1415-31 1

CAUTION: BEFORE ATTEMPTING SERVICE, UNPLUG POWER TO THE STEAMER.

1. Remove existing Control Box Cover Assembly.

2. Remove water hoses and clamps from unit.

3. Remove pump wires from their connectors, noting wire
colors and locations.

4. Note the location of the suction (inlet) and discharge
(outlet) sides of the pump. Remove the existing water
pump with the existing pump bracket tie plate and discard.

5. Remove the existing 1/8″ x 5/16″ barb hose fi ttings(2 places)
and replace with supplied 1/8″ x 1/4″ barb hose fi ttings (2
places), P/N 8483-60. Apply food grade pipe sealant.

removed as directed in step 4 above. The discharge (outlet)
side of the water pump (P/N 1415-31 & 8452-49) is the side
where the electrical terminals are located.

7. Install one water hose (P/N 1415-31 & 1415-32), on each of
the barb hose fi ttings that were installed in step 5. Secure
with the two hose clamps (P/N 8452-10).

8. Connect the new wires (P/N 7400-19) from Step 3) above.

9. Verify proper operation of conversion and check for leaks!

10. Replace Control Box Cover Assembly.

6. Mount and install Pump and Mounting Assembly to its
mounting position. Note: When mounting the pump make
sure that the suction (inlet) and discharge (outlet) sides are
