5) Pres s th e a utoma tic regu lator val ve into the 2" Hos e C one. The end of th e va lve t hat i s mar ked " Attac h Hos e Thi s End "must poin t up. Se e Figur e 7.
6) Place the cl eaner int o th e po ol a nd a llow it to s ink to the floor .

Hose L ength
IMPO RTANT : The p ump m ust be on whe n you check the ho se len gth. The hose cont racts whe n th e pum p is oper ating and will be long er when t he pump i s off. With th e c leane r o perat ing, pos ition it at the fu rthes t p oint of the pool from where it's a ttach ed. ( It is easy t o posi tion the cl eaner the pool b y movin g it abou t with yo ur pool p ole and b rush. ) the cle aner' s hose shou ld be long enoug h to r each the e nd of the p ool, plus o ne hose sec tion. O ne way to c heck fo r kinks i n your ho se is to la y each sect ion fla t on your p ool's d eck (or o ther fl at surf ace). T he hose s hould be per fectl y strai ght and f lat.

To Rem ove Deb ris fro m the Fli pper
Some times d ebris m ay clog t he bott om of the c leane r and pre vent Flip per mov ement o r restr ict flo w. The Fl ipper i s locat ed insi de the ma in body a nd must m ove fre ely at al l times . You can s ee the Fl ipper thro ugh the o penin g in the Fl ipper C over, w hen you t urn the c leane r upsi de down a s shown i n Figur e 10. Jig gle the F lippe r with yo ur fing er or flus h the cav ity wit h a hose to f orce ou t any deb ris lod ged ins ide the main b ody. If deb ris is st ill lod ged ins ide, yo u must re move th e Flipp er. Fir st, get r id of fou r lids in t he Inte rleav er, uns crew it , and the n remov e it from t he main b ody. In s ecess ion, ta ke out th e screw f rom pif fle pla te, pul l it out and la stly, r emove t he Flip per.
