YOUR BOARD CAN LOSE BRAKING AND ACCELERATION AT ANY TIME
Downhill braking causing overcharge, radio interference, unitentional use of the
throttle, and other factors can cause the loss of power and brakes. Make sure
you can always control your speed without the use of power.
BRAKING DOWNHILL ON A FULL BATTERY WILL CAUSE BOARD
SHUTDOWN
To prevent overcharging from happening, the remote will warn you by vibrating,
and you’ll lose your braking power. Safely come to a stop before this happens
and ride on flat surfaces or uphill to drain the battery before riding downhill
again.
THE THROTTLE IN 2ND AND 3RD MODE IS EXTREMELY SENSITIVE
To make the board responsive and fun, but it can easily cause you to fall off.
Make sure you're comfortable with the 1st mode first, then try to move forward
as slowly as possible in the other modes.
HIGH SPEED AND HILLS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS
Be extra careful when pushing the limits of the board, even if you’re an
experienced rider. Crashes can cause serious injuries or death.
CARS AND OTHER VEHICLES CAN KILL YOU
Be extremely careful when riding in the presence of other vehicles. Ride
defensively and keep in mind that other vehicles may not see you. Be aware and
respect the laws in your country that govern the use of your board on public
roads, bike paths, sidewalks, or other places that you may ride.
ELWING DECLINES RESPONSIBILITY ON ALL EVENTS
That may be related to misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents or riding in the
water by the user.
WARNING!
WARNING: Whenever you ride an Elwing board, you risk death or serious
injury from crashes, collisions or loss of control. Please read and follow all
warnings and instructions in this manual.
WARNING: Always wear a helmet when riding. Never ride on wet surfaces,
in the rain, slippery or cracked surfaces, steep hills, heavy traffic, train tracks,
gravel, rocks, or any obstacles that could cause a loss of traction. Avoid night
riding without powerful front and rear lights.
WARNING: Do not ride an Elwing board on inclines or at speeds where you
would not be safely in control of an unpowered skateboard. In the event of
wireless interference or battery fault, you may need to rely on your
skateboarding techniques like footbraking or sliding to stop. For more
information, visit the online tutorials at
https://elwingboards.com/pages/support
WARNING: AVOID WATER!
Riding in wet conditions or through puddles can damage the
board’s electronics and cause the board to lose power or stop
suddenly. Do not ride in wet conditions or through puddles.
Damage to the board due to water exposure is not covered
under warranty.
WARNING: PINCH POINTS
Keep fingers, hair, and clothing away from motors,
wheels and all moving parts.

Riding Basics
ARE YOU A “REGULAR” OR “GOOFY” FOOTED RIDER?
Typically, if you kick a ball with your right foot, you are a regular
footed rider. However, this is not always the case! Try both stances
to see what feels best. If you don’t know which to choose, one
advantage of riding goofy footed is that you can see traffic better.

Check the Remote-Board Pairing
The Connection will turn solid when the board is paired. If the
indicator is blinking, check that the board is powered on. If
the light is still not lit, hold the remote's A button and the
board's Power-Button 4 seconds at the same time to pair
your board. Your board and remote have already been paired
in the factory, so you typically only need to do this when
pairing to a new board or remote..
