Please take photos (particularly shipping cartons) and send them along with a description of the damage.
SELECTING SPEAKER LOCATIONS Elura angle woofer speakers are designed as a powerful acoustic compliment to any home theater entertainment center. They are most popular as rear channel surround speakers to complete a 5.1 or 7.1 system. However, they can be used in variety of applications, including in-ceiling LCR installations (left/right/center) or as a stereo pairs for special listening rooms. Take your usual care when selecting speaker locations and placement. Avoid wiring, plumbing, lighting xtures and HVAC ducting. Speaker wiring should already be in position for new construction – watch for studs and joists when making your cut-outs.
SPECIAL FEATURES The Red Label LCRZ in-ceiling speaker is designed with an 18 degree oset woofer for aiming toward the primary listening area. Depending on room reectivity, the speaker frame may be turned any direction during installation to accommodate your individual preference for low frequency bass response. The rotating bridge feature enables you to rotate the high frequency drivers in the general direction of your listening area, independent of the woofer position. In addition, both midrange and tweeter can be independently aimed for precision sound reproduction.
SPEAKER INSTALLATION We package the Red Label Series with the grille on to prevent possible damage. You’ll nd the paint mask and adhesive chips to attach the mask are packaged adjacent to the speakers. Position the dog ears ush with the bae frame and hold next to your cut-out. Connect the speaker wires (+ to + / - to -), install the speakers and connect to the amplier. For multiple speakers, be sure to check impedance matching.
SOUND DISPERSION Depending on room size it is best to place speakers approximately 12’ from one another. Proper spacing will improve sound imaging. Consider the room environment and furniture placement while selecting your primary listening area.
PAINT PROCEDURES You may have your own painting methods but we recommend the speakers be painted in place using the paint guard (included). Paint the grilles in a separate location (not installed on the speaker). First gently remove the lightly glued Dacron, and take care to not clog the holes with paint. Carefully re-install Dacron and grilles for a tight attractive nish. Install the grille ush with the bae edge on all sides and you’re set.
BASIC LEVEL CONTROL ADJUSTMENT The Elura Red Label Series include individual woofer and tweeter SPL (volume) controls so you can adjust the balance of low and high frequencies to best suit your individual listening area. We recommend setting the tweeter levels rst and then match them with the desired bass level. Regardless of how many speakers you are connecting to your amplier, we suggest using a lower bass SPL position until you conrm your amplier can handle the additional power requirement.
HIGH FREQUENCY ADJUSTMENT Since high frequencies are directional, the Red Label LCRZ speaker is equipped with adjustable, full (360 degree) rotation tweeters. While taking care not to touch the speaker cones, rotate the tweeter toward the primary listening area. Once you have the tweeters positioned and speaker volume adjusted to your preference, replace the grille securely so it is ush with the surrounding trim ring and enjoy.
