1.0 OVERVIEW

Thank you for purchasing this product. Check the contents of the packaging
carefully. It contains:

 The SP105 unit

 This handbook and the certificate of conformity

 The mains adapter code ADM001

The SP105 is a composite video and balanced stereo audio distributor able to
send the input signal to 6 destinations.

1.0 POWER SUPPLY UNIT

The SP105 unit must be powered only via the AC/AC adapter code ADM 001
provided.

WARNING

The use of any other adapter may damage the appliance.

The unit does not have calibrations or internal presets.

Any repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel.

The adapter must be inserted in a 220-240V/50Hz AC outlet.

2.0 INSTALLATION

3.1 Video section

In a classic installation with a composite video signal to be distributed towards
6 destinations, follow the procedure described below:

a) Make sure that all the units to be installed are OFF.
b) Connect the video source to one of the two “VIDEO IN” BNC

connectors

c) If the input signal is not terminated at 75Ω, set the switch to the side of

the input to the ON position. If the signal is already terminated at 75Ω,
set the switch to OFF.

d) The input BNC not used can be left free or can be used, if necessary, to

send the video signal to other units. In this case, remember that
termination at 75Ω must be carried out at only one point of the chain,
preferably at the end of this. Therefore, in this case, the 75 Ohm switch
must be set to a OFF.

e) Connect the destinations to the BNCs 1÷6 “VIDEO OUTPUTS”
f) Power the SP105 and other system units.

3.2 Audio section

In a classic installation with a stereo signal to be distributed towards 6
destinations, follow the procedure described below:

a) Make sure that all the units to be installed are OFF.
b) Connect the stereo source to the AUDIO INPUT terminals.

c) Connect the destinations to terminals 1÷6

d) Power the SP105 and other system units.

WARNING

The ground terminal (GND) is

common to the L and R channels

WARNING

If the incoming signal is

unbalanced, connect the hot pin

to terminal "a" and the cold pin to

terminal "b".

Then, jumper "b" with GND

WARNING

The SP105 input is at high

impedance.

The input of several SP105 can be

set in parallel

WARNING

Output terminal "a" is in phase

with input terminal "a".

Output terminal "b"

is in counter phase in relation to "a"

WARNING

If the destination is unbalanced, connect terminal

"a" and GND.

Leave terminal "b" free or use it for another

destination

5.0 NOTES

This product is warranted for 5 years from the date of purchase.

If the fault in the product is due to improper use or

operations carried out by third parties, the warranty is forfeited.

During the warranty period, Elpro will repair the faulty units free of charge.

The faulty units must be sent CARRIAGE FREE to the Elpro offices in Turin
with a regular accompanying note.

The units repaired will be returned CARRIAGE FORWARD to the addressee.

Outside the warranty period, Elpro will repair the faulty units EX its Turin
offices, charging the cost of the repair to the customer.
