The remotesensor is part of the Elkay family of switches, timers and detectors which save
energy and increase convenience in and around your home, garden or premises.

This remote sensor is ideal for use in
inaccessible areas, with remote slave
activator switches used to operate the
timer.
MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION

Turn off mains supply before installation.
Your Elkay unit is compatible with a single
gang, 25mm deep, British Standard
cessory plate. Please ensure that the top
ac
and bottom lugs are removed, if fitted, from
metal wall boxes prior to fitting. Ensure that
there is adequate space for wiring.
Step 1 Place the Live In wire into the left hand position of the connector, the switched
Live Out wire into the second from left position of the connector and neutral into right
hand position of connector. (see diagram 1)
Step 2 Attach required slave using wiring instructions from slave unit.
Step 3 To set time, as per timing table, use switches one through four. Depending on required time available from 2 minutes
to 2 hours. E.g 10 minutes = switch one – off, switch two – on, switch three – off, switch four – off. (see diagram 2)
Step 4 Re-apply mains supply.

OUTDOOR INSTALLATION
Please note only products in the Elkay energy outdoor range are suitable for use outdoors. Elkay energy outdoor can only
be used in conjunction with the surface mount box supplied.
T
ake the surface mount box and remove the knock out section. If required and to ensure IP66 waterproof rating, please use
a suitable M20 cable gland. Mount the surface mount box on a secure surface using the mounting pack supplied. Place
screw cover seals over the mounting screws.
Turn off mains supply before proceeding with installation - Install as per previous remote instalation instructions M
ount unit onto surface mount box using the fixing screws at all four corners - Place screw hole seals over left and right
screw cavities - Clip on front fascia plate - Re-instate mains supply.
OPERATION
This remote timer can only be used in conjunction with Elkay slave switches. Please refer to these instructions for individual
fitting and operation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All wiring should be carried out by a competent person or a qualified Electrician in accordance with the current IEE Wiring
Regulations. If unit is faulty return to place of purchase.
