PERFORMANCE DATA SHEET and INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Read this performance data sheet and compare the capabilities of this unit
with your actual water treatment needs. It is recommended that, before purchasing a water treatment
unit, you have your water supply tested to determine your actual water treatment needs.
NOTICE: This water treatment device is not to be used where water is microbiologically unsafe or
with water of unknown quality.
CAUTION: Use on cold water line only. Do not allow installed filter to freeze. Exposure to
freezing or hot water conditions can crack the filter housing creating uncontrolled water flow.

Instructions for Filter Installation
1. Turn off water supply; dispense water to relieve pressure.
2. Remove Y-strainer from the inlet tubing, see Fig. A for
operation of fittings.
3. Install filter with water flow in direction indicated.
4. Outlet of filter must be 2 inches higher than inlet to
prevent air from being trapped inside.
5. Turn water supply on, check fittings for leaks.
6. Dispense approximately 1 gallon of water to flush
any particulate from the filter.

Quick Connect Fitting Hookup
1. For correct "leak-free" hookup, tube surface must be smooth
with no scratched or dents.
2. Damaged tubing, old compressions fitting "ferrules", etc.
must be removed.
3. Cut end of tube must be "de-burred". Burrs on the ends of
the tube end will cut the "O-Ring" seal.
