Product Overview

High-Definition Multimedia Interface recently has become increasingly popular in the

application of video and audio transmission system，DVI Fiber Optic Extender uses one

fiber without any copper wire inside, where radio frequency interference phenomenon is

literally ruled out, which shows the advantage of high performance and good signal quality

as well as low cost.

The LNK-D4K series is a high performance 4K Optical Extender that transmits high

resolution DVI signals over extreme distances using one fiber.This extender supports

HDMI v1.4 signals with resolutions up to 4K (3840*2160/30p)

over cable distances up to 80km(default 1.4km)

Connection Instructions
Video

1. Connect the included DVI cable between the Ultra Hi-Def source and the DVI Input

port on the Sender unit.

2. Connect an Ultra HD display to the DVI Out port on the Receiver unit using

another DVI cable.

Fiber

3. Connect a one LC Single-Mode Fiber, between the Fiber port on the Sender unit
and the Fiber port on the Receiver unit. See the Specifications table, below for details on
fiber cable types and distance.

Power

4. Use the included power supplies to connect the Sender and Receiver unit to
available electrical outlets.

EDID Programming Procedure

1. Power on the DVI display (or other sink device).

2. Connect one of the included 5V DC power supplies to the Sender module and
make sure that the status indicator is ON.

4. Connect the Sender module to the display.

3. Use a small pin or paperclip to press the recessed Reset button on the Sender
module. The blue status indicator LED light(D4) will blink and then turn off.

5. The status indicator on the top of the Sender module will begin to blink rapidly,
indicating that the EDID is being read from the display and stored by the Sender module.
After about 7 - 8 seconds,the status indicator will stop flashing,indicating that the EDID
programming is complete.

6. Disconnect the Sender module from the sink. Disconnect the power supply from

the Sender module.
