Infrared Remote Control
This document describes the functions of the EyeTV infrared remote control which
is included with the models EyeTV EZ, EyeTV 250 and EyeTV for DTT.
Power
If EyeTV isn’t displaying a window, a Live TV window is opened. If there are windows playing EyeTV
content, the front playing window is closed, and the next window is brought to the front. If the frontmost window is an alert dialog, pressing the Power key is like pressing Cancel or hitting Escape.

Toggle Input (AV)
Cycles through EyeTV’s video inputs.
Last Channel
Switches the live TV window to go to the last channel used.
If you’re watching a recording, pressing this button jumps playback to the start of the recording. If
the front-most window is an alert dialog, pressing the LAST key is like pressing Cancel or hitting
Escape.
Show Info (OSD)
Display information about the program currently running.
Toggle Programs Window (EPG)
Opens/closes the EyeTV Programs window.
Left
Navigates in the EyeTV Programs Window.
Right
Navigates in the EyeTV Programs Window.
Enter / OK
Enters a sequence of numbers. Selects a highlighted element in the EyeTV Programs Window. If the
front-most window is an alert dialog, pressing the Enter key is like pressing OK or hitting Enter.
Up
Navigates in the EyeTV Programs Window.
Down
Navigates in the EyeTV Programs Window.
TXT
Shows/hides Closed Captions and Teletext.

Show Program Info
Display information about the program currently running.
Red
Cycles through open windows forwards. Teletext standard key.
Green
Switches between full screen/window mode. Teletext standard key.
Yellow
Toggle Programs Window. Teletext standard key.
Blue
Shows/hides the on-screen remote controller. Teletext standard key.
Volume Up/Down
Increases or decreases the sound volume.
Channel Up/Down
Selects next/previous channel.
Instant Replay
Playback jumps backwards for the duration specified in the Preferences’ Controls pane. The default
is 7 seconds.
Play/Pause
Toggles between playing back or pausing video
Record
Starts recording of the current program.

REW
Plays the current program in reverse at high speed.
FF
Plays the current program at high speed.
Stop recording
Stops recording of the current program.
