Digital Content Finds a New “Home”
Over the past 5 years we‘ve seen a revolution in how people create and share photos, home movies and music. Personal collections have moved from shoeboxes, stacks of tapes and shelves of CDs, to the hard drive of a computer. But as the computer is certainly not the
The EyeHome digital media player allows you to access the digital content you have stored on your Mac and enjoy it on your TV or stereo. For the first time, your Mac’s digital content is truly integrated into the living room, the natural place for enjoying photos, movies and music.
Using EyeHome
EyeHome accesses your existing iPhoto, Movies and EyeTV content from your Mac on the TV and your iTunes on your stereo. The content appears on the TV as it is organized on the Mac,
making it incredibly easy to navigate and find the correct digital content. From EyeHome’s easy-to-use remote-controlled TV interface, you choose from a list of “EyeTV” recorded TV, “Movies,” “Music,” “Pictures” and "Web“ to play your digital content.
EyeTV: EyeHome is designed to let you watch all of your recorded EyeTV content on your TV.
Your recordings are listed alphabetically by title, along with the date and duration of the recording.
Movies: EyeHome directly accesses all of the content in your Movies folder. You can scroll
through your list of movies or search through your video library by using the Search command at the top of the screen. EyeHome supports the most popular digital video formats MPEG-1, -2, - 4 and DivX.
Music: EyeHome accesses your entire iTunes music library so you can play it from the
stereo or TV. Your iTunes library and all of your iTunes Playlists, incl. Smart Playlists, Artist, Album and Genre, are displayed alphabetically. After selecting a Playlist, you can scroll through to select individual tracks, or play the whole list by using the Play button. You can also search for individual tracks, artists or albums.
Pictures: View individual pictures from your Pictures folder or your entire iPhoto library on your
TV with ease. Play slideshows of your organized photo albums along with personalized music.
